Outrageous wait, rude staff
Outrageous wait, rude staff. I have been a patient for more than five years; I am no longer. I had a 3:45pm appointment last Tuesday. Since I was going to be dilated, I had a friend drive me. He had a 7:00pm meeting in Moore. After two and one half hours in the waiting room (6:15pm), there were still five patients, including myself. I asked if they could give me an idea of how much longer it would be. The response was a flat 'No, I can't'. A few minutes later another staff came to the window and spoke to me, insisting that I come to the window. No 'sorry', no 'please' with either staff. I was then told that it was going to be a while, that there were three patients ahead of me. I found that totally unacceptable and I left, telling the staff that I would not be back. I have never been treated with this much disrespect by any doctor.

He may be smart and knowledgeable in his field but he is extremely rude with no bedside manner. Also very disrespectful towards his staff. Find someone else unless you don’t like being trated like a human. Narcissistic behavior at it’s finest

Dr Nanda saved my son’s vision more than 10 years ago, and I’m going thru a severe retinal detachment with a lot of scaring, and just wish I’d gone here first. Dr Nanda is the only dr I will trust with my eyes going forward. He is VERY caring yet some people have noted wait times and his bedside manner, couldn’t be further from the truth, he spends the time on your eyes, and has emergencies daily and I don’t know how he does it but he does and has saved so much sight I wish others would speak more of him that way. His staff and especially Melissa knew how anxious I was going into this surgery just this Wednesday 9/25/24 and I’m on day two of what I hope will restore enough sight that I can see well in my right eye, and he also had to laser my left eye and caught things that other drs missed. That is is type of Dr you want and I am grateful to him and his staff for so much. There are wait times, it’s unavoidable with what this man does. You will not be in better hands than with Dr Nanda. He has always stayed as late as he has to in order to take care of every patient he sees. Bless all those going thru sight issues.

Waits are rather long in the waiting room and in the treatment room as well, but he is busy; and he is worth the wait The shots to my eyes are not pleasant, but they keep me able to drive which is very important in our society. Dr Nanda is a very pleasant person, too.

Will not go back.
Dr. Nanda has no bedside manner, was rough handling my eye after surgery, blamed me for a scratched cornea although I was extremely careful and only touched my eye to put in the prescribed drops, did come close to adequately explaining how long recovery would take even though I told him I had just started a new job and couldn't be off long, and then he blamed me for not knowing that. Wait time for a scheduled appointment is an average of two hours, which one of his staff said is always typical. I don't recommend him and will not go back.

Very pleased with outcome
I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Dr. Nanda is very focused and professional. I also appreciated the fine care at Summit Surgery Center. His office is very busy. If you can't stand to wait and want to sit around and chat with your doctor, this may not be the place for you. If you want excellent eye care, I highly recommend Dr. Nanda

He saved my vision
Dr. Nanda saved my vision. When vision in one eye went dark, my ophthalmologist said my retina damage was already done; he scheduled me to see a retinal specialist a week later. That didn't seem right to me. I went home, went online, and started phoning retinal specialists. After a couple misses, I called Dr. Nanda. He saw me that very aft and had me in surgery the next day. After a couple surgeries, I can now see 20/20 with that eye. I will forever be grateful for what Dr. Nanda has done for me.

I was referred to Dr.Nanda by my optometrist who was concerned about diabetic macular edema. His staff was very professional and polite as was he. The tests that were administered were done quickly and the results were explained to me in a clear, easy-to-understand manner and showed that I did not have DME. I highly recommend Dr. Nanda.

Get a 2nd opinion before getting anything done to your eyes here. He said I needed a series of expensive eye procedures, I decided to go to Dean McGee for a 2nd opinion. Three years later, I have been getting my eyes examined once a year at Dean McGee with no procedures needed.

Wonderful!! I’m so glad I went to see him! He was kind and listened to me. His kind staff worked me in... but I never felt rushed or not properly cared for. He gave me hope and relief ... he was completely professional and knowledgeable! I am so thankful he was recommended to me. There is also the added benefit of a lovely, kind and personable office staff to help you while you are there!

I have read some reviews that rated Dr. Nanda on the low end. People, quit whining. All that matters is the outcome. And the outcome is directly proportionate to the skill, knowledge and experience of the surgeon. Nothing else matters. Not how long you had to wait. Not if your eye drops stung. Not the personality of the surgeon. Dr. Nanda is such an excellent surgeon that all else is small fish. He was personable, nice, answered all questions. I think he’s very, very nice and I couldn’t be more pleased. Also, I never once had to wait in the Waiting Room. And if I had, so what? I have 20/20 vision in right eye 24 hrs after a vitrectomy. Thank you, Dr. Nanda! Your educational background and your experience is exemplary!

My 91-year-old mother has been seeing Dr. Nanda for 11 years. She has Macular Degeneration in both eyes and he has extended her ability to see by years. She woke up Sunday with no sight in one eye. I called him to find out the ER to use and he dropped everything to meet us at his office. She had an eye infection and he immediately scheduled surgery to save her sight, organizing his surgical staff on a Sunday. He is brusque, but he gets the job done. She loves him. I thank God he is her doctor.

Mom went to this doctor for almost 2 years, every other week. She would wait for 2-3 hours before seeing doctor and tried to ask questions about medical condition, only to be ignored or get indirect answers. She kept wondering why she had to keep coming back but was told injections were what was needed. Finally after making an appointment with another doctor she was told she just needed cataract surgery. Save yourself and try someone else.

Our son had a severe eye injury and Dr. Nanda’s expertise saved his eye. He did emergency work after hours several times and couldn’t have been more accommodating. He is very professional and extremely compassionate too. We are from Houston and are still following up with him. He is highly skilled as an eye surgeon, caring and we highly recommend him.

His demeanor is poor, no conversation, looks at computer screen, examines and leaves the room. Running late on day of surgery, he briefly dropped by my room, dotted the eye to work on and left. No mention as to what to expect. I was awake during surgery & was nervous. Asked if I could talk, he said "NO" & not to reply. I said OK. He then used the Lord's name in vain. I will not go back. He may be a good doctor. He lacks caring & courtesy for his patience!

I feel that Dr. Nanda isn't very friendly and that he lacks tact when speaking with his patients. His personality is somewhat lacking, he's not very personable and he doesn't take the time to find out what his patients needs are. It's a shame because although he appears to be a relatively decent doctor, the concerns that I listed are enough for me to seek services elsewhere.
