Excellent Eye Care
Dr Shah is caring, gentle and patient. He’s also very good at my eye injections. He’s patient and answers any of my questions I may have regarding my treatment. I never feel rushed. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing eye care.

Excellent experience with Dr. Shah. It’s rare to find a doctor who is both very bright and very compassionate but Dr. Shah possesses both of these important traits. I have been seeing Dr. Shah for years and I will rearrange my schedule every time to get an appointment with him. The entire NJ Retina practice is top notch - far above the other retina practice I started with. And Dr. Shah continues to try every conceivable option to maintain and improve my vision. I feel I am in very good hands in his care. I’d recommend him highly to anyone with a vision problem.

Dr. Shah and the staff at NJ Retina are first class. Despite all the recent changes due to the Covid 19 outbreak, NJ Retina was able to provide a safe environment for my eye care and still took care of my appointment in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

This practice is a factory of retinal specialists. There is fair warning on the paperwork that the appointment will be at least 2 1/2 hours and it is, but this is not about appointment time. There is an unnecessary amount of waiting, waiting, waiting your turn for the first test, then the next test, etc, until you are seen by the doctor. This excessive wait time is not about thorough care, it's about over-booking. I would never go to this practice again, but would seek out a private practice.

I have no problem with Dr Shah's knowledge or judgement as a retina specialist. However, when I asked questions about what was happening with my eye and how the procedure he planned to do would help, I received a lecture about how important it was for me to trust him and if I didn't trust him he could give me the phone numbers of other doctors to go to. His waiting room is full of patients and he wouldn't miss me. I will use other drs in this practice, but I will not be seeing him again.
