Dr. Summer Moon, DO

Dr. Moon has been my dermatologist for about 4 years. I have seen many over the years and she is the most caring and pleasant doctor I have ever been to. I met her when a procedure on my hand went bad (I was under another doctor's care at the time) and she promptly identified the problem and set me on a course to correct the issue. I could not be happier with the outcome. From that point forward, she has been my dermatologist! In addition to being a super human being, she is highly skilled and knowledgeable and I am very comfortable in her care. I do not hesitate to recommend her to anyone that I know that is looking for a dermatologist.

I went to Bay Dermatology in St. Pete Beach. The only Doctor available at the time was a PA named Chelsea. She was generous with her time but limited in her knowledge of skin. Chelsea told me I was wearing my shoes too tight which was not my problem. Then she told me to come back two weeks. At that point my problem had worsened.

Dr. Moon explains everything, is friendly, is sharp, and has great bedside manner.

I highly recommend Dr Moon for all your dermatology needs. I was referred to Dr Moon by 2 friends. She saved my life. Dr Moon saw a spot on my back that I would never notice. Sent in the biopsy and came back as aggressive melanoma. She took me in immediately for surgery to remove it. I feel so blessed! You will be in excellent care with Dr. Moon and her staff!!!!

Dr. Moon introduced herself by talking about her experience with skin cancer, and how it motivated her to become a dermatologist. She is clearly very passionate about her work, and says she treats all patients as seriously as she would her own family. She is extremely thorough, which I greatly appreciate. She identified a number of spots and issues my prior dermatologist did not in the past two years. It's a bit of a drive from Palm Harbor to her Largo office, but definitely worth the trip. I am so thankful to have found her and look forward to her being my dermatologist for the rest of my life. Highly recommend.

I have monitored my skin health since my late 20's because I am fair skinned and because I am in the generation that knew nothing about sun screen. I am also a life long sailor having been under the glare of all the Oceans in the world. So I take dermatology seriously and choose doctors with care having lived in many states and cities over my nearly 80 years. I can honestly state that choosing Dr. Moon has been like striking gold late in life. Of all the doctors I have known she is the first to actually examine me on my first visit. Of course she has capable thorough and well trained staff but she was "hands on," which is so unusual in this day of machine-like medicine. Good for you Dr.Moon and good for you staff. And for the chauvinist old guy in me I am impressed by the credentials and it sure doesn't hurt that you are all so lovely must be a testament to practicing what you preach.

Highly recommend Dr Moon! She listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to help me during a stressful skin problem. She sets follow up appointments to ensure her patients recover and get the care and attention they need to make a full recovery from the skin problem they are experiencing. Excellent doctor/dermatology expert. Great team at Bay Dermatology’s Largo and Downtown St Pete location.

I am a nurse and was immediately impressed with Dr. Moon's bedside manor. No doctor in my life has ever thanked me for allowing them to be my doctor. And it only got better from there. I would recommend to anyone reading this not to go to any other Dermatologist if people. If there were 6 stars Dr. Moon would get 6.

My wife and I were looking for a new Dermantalogist and fortunately found Dr. Moon. She was professional but friendly and personable. She instantly made you feel at ease and valued as a patient. She explained what she was doing and addressed any concerns we had. Obviously her leadership has created a culture and climate that has influenced her staff. Each one we dealt with helpful, patient with our questions and friendly. Our search is over. Dr. Moon is now our new Dermatologist.

Through reputation from others, that she is an incredible dermatologist. She is very thorough, gentle and didn't waste one moment to tackle all of my issues with my skin (moles, one cyst, keloid formations from other derm surgery and raised flesh-colored lesions. Best dermatologist I have ever been to in 40 years! Dr. Moon is a melanoma survivor as well and takes that extra quality of making you feel like you are her only patient.

Dr Summer Moon is very caring and explains things to you. I have been going to to for years. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

I followed Dr Moon to another practice since she was a great doctor and did a through skin check. She is so professional and kind to her patients and makes me feel as a valued customer of her services. I am grateful that I was able to find her at another local practice and continue to be able to work with her.

Dr Summer Moon was very kind, took the time to listen, was able to quickly diagnose my dermatitis spot and gave me some free samples to treat. Dr. Moon is compassionate and is a melanoma survivor herself so is passionate about her job and it shows (she even checked a couple of other moles on me, just to be sure). Her nursing staff was knowledgeable and friendly as well. I would return to Dr. Moon in a heartbeat!

Doctor moon is one of the most passionate, professional doctors I've ever seen. She always gets me in when I need to get in last minute. She always takes her time I feel like she always listens to me. I'm in the beauty business I recommend her all the time everyone loves her. She definitely has a follower for life! You are the best Dr. moon!

Very thorough when checking my skin for moles. She wrote me a script for my dandruff on my scalp and told me to follow up with her in 3 months. I really enjoy her and how personable she is. I highly recommend her as a dermatologist!
