I had an extremely disappointing visit with Dr. Zafar. My appointment started over an hour late, which was frustrating in itself. When she finally saw me, she asked why I was there. I explained that I had a colonoscopy last year but was still experiencing the same symptoms and wanted to get tested for food allergies. She laughed and said, “You know this is a GI specialist, right? We don’t test for food.” I told her my primary care doctor recommended that I start here again, but she dismissed me, saying she couldn’t help—without offering any guidance on where I should go instead. I expressed my frustration, mentioning that I wished I had known this before waiting over an hour to see her. Her response? “I wish I had known too because there are actually sick patients I could have attended to.” I was absolutely stunned. She had no idea how sick I was, yet she made me feel like I was wasting her time. She then asked if I had brought my previous colonoscopy records. I assumed they would be in the system, but she laughed again and condescendingly said, “You think all hospital networks and doctor’s offices are connected?” I genuinely did, and she proceeded to lecture me about always carrying my medical records to specialists. This experience left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and disrespected. A doctor should never make a patient feel like a burden, especially when they are actively seeking help for ongoing health concerns.

Extremely rude and demeaning
The definition of rude, stuck up, and demeaning. I waited 2 hours to see her (I had waited for an hour last time and had to reschedule due to a conflict). When I expressed my displeasure, she thought it appropriate to remind me that doctors are not restaurant workers. All I suggested was for them to disclose the potential for a long wait to the patient prior to booking the appointment, so they can plan accordingly and not book overlapping appointments. She laughed when I suggested they make that change, almost like I was too irrelevant to make a suggestion. This woman needs to stick to seeing old people because she has not evolved with the times. She at one point asked if I had never been to a specialist, which was completely unnecessary. I have a myriad of health issues and I’ve seen countless doctors and specialists! I have never felt the need to leave a review. Her perfume permeated the entire room, which was nauseating. You would imagine a GI doctor would know that

Poor communication
Staff is very unprofessional especially with communication. Never called me to tell me they canceled procedure and I didn’t find out till all preparations on my part were done and I was at surgical center. I will NEVER refer this office to anyone.

Dr. rates a 5-star. Staff a -0- star rating.
1. Dr. Zafar seems very good. Wish I could keep her. 2. Staff is very poor. 3. I had to change from a good doctor to get away from a bad staff.

Dr. Zafar is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Her office is extremely unorganized and her staff is just as incompetent as her. You can submit payment to them and they will lose record of your payment made and will cancel your appointment as a result. She is always late to appointments and her staff is extremely unfriendly and have no common sense on basic questions. I would stay away from her and any of her staff at all costs. You will lose your money and will not get anywhere with your treatment as she is very incompetent at her work

After a few weeks with a rather inconvenient GI problem, I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Zafar 5 days after I put in a request for the appointment online and was impressed with the efficiency of her office and the attention I was given. After getting my history Dr. Zafar was certain she knew what the problem was but needed to do a colonoscopy to verify that diagnosis. Two weeks later the procedure was done and the pathology report confirmed her original diagnosis. She had given me a prescription to help with the symptoms until the diagnosis was confirmed. Once the diagnosis was confirmed I was given a prescription for a medication specific for the diagnosis, and within 2 days I noted improvement and finished the full course of the medicine. Now six months later I am still back to normal. I would highly recommend Dr. Zafar, as does my wife.

Whenever we hear the word CANCER we often think the worst. Dr. Zafar went out of her way to ally the feelings of anxiety I had. She was very knowledgeable of my diagnosis, patient and reassuring. It was as if she was reading my mind as all those thoughts poured in, she responded to all my thoughts without me asking one question. She is good, so was my completed exams. YEAH!

After 7 weeks of multiple tests (the last one being a diagnostic colonoscopy), Dr. Zafar assured me she would call me with results without a return visit to her office. She had her staff member call me to tell everything was normal so she was prescribing a drug that the FDA warned patients that had their gallbladder removed not to take due to DEATH in multiple patients. I called the office back after I researched the drug and asked to speak to Dr. Zafar. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t heard from her. I question why she would even prescribe a drug that could be potentially lethal to me and secondly, why she is so unprofessional that she won’t even return my call to discuss other medications to resolve my health issue! Dr. Zafar is very unprofessional and now 7 weeks later I am no better than I was when I first went into her office. I am also concerned about her ethics in prescribing lethal medications to patients as well!

My primary care doctor placed an order for colonoscopy screening and I was referred to Dr Zafar. I had a very pleasant first time appointment with her. Dr Zafar was very personable, caring and took the time to fully explain everything and she listened to my concerns. On the day of the scheduled procedure, Dr Zafar spoke with me prior to the procedure and again explained everything that would take place. She is an amazing professional and I’m glad that I was referred to her. If you are looking for a doctor with her specialty, look no further.
