Dr. Sung Chang, DO

Very funny guy, but has a habit of not being truthful in many ways. Very monetarily motivated by conducting complicated and time-consuming tests over and over again. The tests are almost always totally unnecessary.

Dr. Sung Chang is a wonderful concerned physician who is a truly there to address any issue you may have. He makes sure that he`s taking an awesome amount of time to understand his patients needs. My in person visit with him showed me that he desires to have full awareness of my health needs, addressing all issues. He then followed up with a telephone visit where he confirmed my suspicion that his focus is on preventative measures so that you can live the healthiest possible life versus waiting for a problem to arise before treating you. He is truly a great doctor who sincerely cares about his patients.

Yes; however, he is no longer accepting new patients. Thorough follow up with health concerns and/or findings. Referrals made to address further examination.

I'm writing this review 20 years after my husband saw Dr. Chang, out of gratitude for what Dr. Chang did for our family. My husband had been suffering with extreme fatigue for 3.5 months, and had seen several doctors with no diagnosis. This was a problem as his symptoms made it difficult to work and earn an income, putting us in a precarious position financially. Thankfully, Dr. Chang was the provider my husband saw in Kaiser Urgent Care one day. Not required to follow up with patients in this role, Dr. Chang cared enough to call and check-in one week after seeing him, urging him to go to the ER. There, after imaging was done, it was apparent a biopsy was needed. The following days were some of the most stressful of our lives waiting in the hospital to get the results - not cancer, a rare disease - sarcoidosis. Again, Dr. Chang stopped by the hospital room to check-in. Throughout the experience, he delivered a degree of care that exceeded expectations for which I'm still thankful.

Dr. Chang is a phenomenal doctor who simply surpassed some of the specialists at the Kaiser hospital. Don't be fooled in thinking a family doctor just knows how to take your temperature and prescribe you some aspirin. Some specialists just simply don't belong at Kaiser. He is very affable and friendly. He does listen, and he understands the patient's thinking and concerns. I really believe Dr. Chang wanted his patients stay alive for their benefit. Someday, Dr. Chang will become the next director at Kaiser. It is simply a matter of time.

Dr. Chang was wonderful. He was caring, reassuring and made my visit more comfortable during a very difficult time in my life. I would recommend Dr. Chang immediately!

The Best Doctor and Staff Ever! He Truly does Care for his Patients like if we are his family. Would definitely recommend him & his Staff to friends and family without a doubt.
