We consulted Dr. Ferns for a second opinion regarding our son’s fast heart rate. Initially, we planned to wait and have the procedure done in Iowa, but my husband’s cardiologist recommended that we also consult Dr. Ferns. Thanks to Dr. Ferns, our son was back on the soccer field just three days after the procedure and has never felt better. He no longer requires follow-up care from a heart specialist.

My daughter had SVT and had a prior ablation at St Louis Children's Hospital. The procedure at St Louis slowed the SVT down but were not able to fix it. We were not planning on a third procedure but her heart muscle started to get weak and one of our friends told us to see Dr Ferns. I am so glad that I did my research and followed my instincts. My son had a rare form of ventricular arrhythmia and after the ablation by Dr Ferns has been permanently cured. For a mother who had to give her child medications since he was a baby, knowing that he does not have heart disease anymore is the biggest blessing ever. Dr Fern was able to get done in half the time what multiple others had failed before and thanks to her our son has been free of his tachycardia over a year later. He finally has his life back again! We traveled from Long Island, NY to Florida to see Dr Ferns based on a recommendation from a close family friend. Was it worth the trip! After a prior failed ablation procedure for my son at NYU, I reluctantly agreed to go with my wife gut feeling to go with Dr Ferns. Its been over 6 months since his ablation and he has never felt better. This was the best decision we ever made.

Dr Ferns was amazing. Our son has had multiple surgeries and was left with scar in his heart causing fast heart rates. He had two previous surgeries with no success and we were told he would end up with a pacemaker if he had more surgery to fix his heart rate. Dr Ferns fixed this with a 3 hour procedure and now he is no longer on medications.

Dr Ferns is an amazingly gifted and talented surgeon. She operated on my 7 year old who has multiple different specialists and special needs and accomplished what was predicted to be a complex and difficult procedure within an hour. She is also great with kids and was able to explain the procedure to my son in terms he could understand.

Dr.. Fern was a true professional. She was very thorough Pre-and post surgery. We trusted her with our daughters heart ablation and it truly was the right choice. I would highly recommend her. She is a true miracle worker.

Great doctor, was gentle and caring and explained the surgery for my son very well. Our son was out of the procedure in under 2 hours and has been free of his WPW for a year!
