I have been taking my mother to Dr. Gupta for years. Dr Gupta is one of the best family physicians. She has been professional, very caring, attentive and thorough. Dr Grupta will review the chat before the appointment. She took a prompt action to help us finding the right specialist when my mom had a stomach ulcer. So my mom got the right treatment and procedure before her travel. I would highly recommend Dr Grupta as your healthcare provider.

I have had excellent experiences at Dr. Gupta's office. She genuinely cares for her patients. I appreciate how thorough she is, she is easy to understand and takes the time to answer my questions. I have never had any issues with billing and have received only kindness in her office from all staff. I am thankful that she cares to treat the whole person and not just symptoms. I appreciate how she gives me options for treatment, asks me what I would like to do, then if I do not know what to do she further explains each option and makes suggestions.

Seemed good at first
Seemed good at first, Dr Gupta was friendly and caring... Then everything went downhill. Her husband is very rude and pushy. The staff is rude and incompetent. Dr. Gupta also started becoming rude and pushy. The office is not clean. Random bills and charges and they just dismiss you completely if you question it.

Horrible staff, they are rude, ignorant and insensitive. Dr Gupta talks to fast and doesn’t listen to you. She has no bedside manner. Now they are disputing insurance fees and sending letters that Aetna is not covering previous visits. Aetna said they paid the agreed fees per their contract.

Check your billing, because it's most likely wrong
18 months after an 18 second telehealth visit, I get a call saying that I owe a balance for a copay. That's funny, because the last visit I had with the doctor was my annual physical, which doesn't have a copay. The reason for the copay? It was coded wrong, coded as an office visit in the middle of COVID when no one was allowed physical visits. When you question the person in billing, they hang up. I guess asking questions is arguing with them. Then be aware, if your copay is 20 dollars it magically goes to $25 because of financing. I have never encountered such a high degree of BS from a medical office. The fact that they won't answer questions, and consider any push back on their BS as arguing with them, is the height of unprofessionalism.

Her staff is as horrible as she is amazing
I'll start by saying Dr Gupta herself is amazing. She is thorough, kind, and respectful. She takes the time to talk with you about your health concerns. Unfortunately, her office staff, specifically her husband/office manager is rude, abrasive, and condescending. He makes every issue an argument, and that wastes my time and energy.

Terrible front office staff
Crissy, the billing person, was rude and very incompetent. She told me she tried to reach my insurance company, but could never get a hold of them. My insurance company answers almost immediately. Crissy also didn't know how to explain why I was billed the way I was. She didn't even know that I was charged for a telehealth visit because she never bothered doing the legwork. I don't know if it's laziness or incompetence, but she needs to take some classes on customer service. Dr. Gupta is fine as a doctor, but her office staff are very unprofessional and if you see how they are rated here, you can tell it's a common problem.

RUN!!! FIND ANYONE ELSE!!! The office manager (the Drs husband) repeatedly calls and asks for prepayment, trying to get your credit card number over the phone. He calls after you set up a telehealth appointment, claims there may be an issue with your insurance, and demands payment. If you don't pay, he cancels the appointment. If you are wondering, I don't have a deductible. He has threatened to not have my scripts filled. He has dared me to find another Dr after threatening to not have my scripts filled. Is he stealing? Because this feels like extortion. If a Dr needs prepayment for services, why don't they state that when the appointment is scheduled? He literally called me and left messages threatening to cancel my appointment hours before. I was working, didn't get the messages, and he canceled my appointment! When I called back at 4:15pm that day, the office was closed. This is not service, this is not health care, this is harassment. Only a patient for 2 months.

Best doctor that I have had in Arizona or Oregon. She listens and works with her patients. Everyone she has recommended in other medical fields have been great. So glad to have her as my doctor.

Due to the fact that I would not make an “telehealth” appointment that I see zero point to, I was was told I would no longer be seen in their office at all. That just tells me that since I’m not making them any money they want to move on to someone who is. Never experienced this before, I was a little shocked.

I just moved here and liked what I had read about Dr. Gupta, but when I called the office it went straight to, "Record your message at the tone." This is an issue for many health care providers, it seems. The phones aren't even being answered, how can we count on any level of care?

I really thought I found a good doctor with Dr. Sunita Gupta at the East Valley Family Practice! I just received an email stating they are discharging me from their facility BECAUSE I DIDN'T SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT --- my yearly physical is due until next month and she wanted a visit before then. I requested a refill on my maintenance inhaler in which she refilled, but then requested a phone interview. I saw no need for the phone visit as I've been on this medication since I was 16 and my yearly routine physical is in a few weeks. Why the phone appointment? Last year they did the same thing and it costed me $160 unnecessarily for an extra appointment that was not necessary when my routine was just weeks away. Just money hungry! Or one can look at it as fraud - unnecessarily ordering services.

I had an appointment with this establishment. I have had several and think the doctor is wonderful, however the staff is lazy, they treat the patients with disrespect. I have several emails to confirm this. I had a appointment. My husbands truck did not start, he took my vehicle. I did not know until later that morning. I called the office to cancel and explained what had happened. They sent me a notice for a $25 fee instead of calling me. I did call them and explained but still the nasty letter. The 1st time I went there I had to wait 2hrs because they forgot about me. I have 7 fractures sitting is not easy. When I walked around I was reprimanded. I called several times with no call backs. I did not complain but they complain when I have no vehicle. I will not be going back. This place needs caring, understanding employees. Not narcissistic know it all's. Such a shame they tolerate this behavior from the staff.
