Dr. Suraj Venna, MD

Dr. Venna is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I cannot say enough about him. He is professional, empathetic, patient, personable, competent… You will NOT find a better doctor. He has phenomenal bedside manner and he invests in his patients. I love that he is always willing to go the extra mile. He remembers specific things about my family and I, and genuinely cares. I feel 100% confident in his abilities. He is also very reassuring. There is a reason it’s soo hard to get an appt. with him. Don’t let that deter you, he’s worth the wait. He also somehow manages to stay on schedule with minimal wait times, but then makes you feel like you’re his only patient all day. So thankful for him! Wish he was a primary care doctor.

My first appointment with Dr Venna was last month. I was very impressed with every aspect of the visit. He is a wonderful physician, who is very thorough and takes the time to explain everything. His kind and caring manner, puts you at ease from the moment you meet him. I’m a nurse and with out any reservation, I would HIGHLY recommend him.

And I will tell you: Dr. Venna is world level dermatologist, both doctor and scientist. Extremely pleasant , he treated me with patience and sympathy, supporting me a lot. Dr. Vienna is a superb doctor. However rescheduling for a follow up visit is unlikely. My husband has been seeing Dr. Venna for years and cannot reschedule a follow up appointment this year unless he is a “new patient”. How unfortunate after years of committed loyalty from us. Time to find a new doctor.

Dr. Venna and Dr. Jang are both wonderful physicians who take melanoma as seriously as their patients. They are both very kind, gentle, patient, and compassionate individuals whose knowledge is on the very cutting edge of research. Melanoma isn't a disease with which people can dink around. The Inova melanoma team offers world-class care, and most importantly, they manage to deliver it in a timely fashion to those whose medical needs are rather urgent.
