Very skilled at Colonoscopy. My first one as cancer screen at age 50, I opted for no sedation, since I'd researched others who'd done it. Appt took a total of 45 minutes, & procedure only 25 minutes, and I could walk/drive right out, undrugged. I had literally NO pain or pressure. It just felt like a gentle baby kicking. I also got to watch the live video! Only negative was Dr trying to dissuade me from doing it w/out sedation by saying it would be painful, when I told him my preference, and that I had to tell them I didn't want a hand catheter either. I had had c-section, & appendix removed laproscopically, which may cause pain due to scar tissue, but those were no issue either. Definitely recommend him, but do your own research regarding sedation, or none, since they don't ask you. They assume you do it their way- with sedation.

Prior to seeing Dr. Karthikeyan, I had read many negative reviews about him. Since I am a resident of Brockport and his office is within walking distance, I decided to take a chance and see him. I found him to be kind and very professional. He wasn't at all like the person described in many of the negative responses. At the conclusion of my follow-up visit (May 21, 2019), I told him I was going to write what I feel is an accurate and justly deserving positive review. He smiled warmly and described his sadness that so many people have written bad things about him. "Doctor K" is a fine doctor. I'd trust him with my life.

Won't return next time. Didn't explain procedure well or have compassion for the vulnerability of the procedure. Staff also seemed cold and aloof.

Long time patient. Always a positive experience, endoscopy suite is much nicer and faster than in the hospital. Staff is very friendly and caring. Much better than other GI doctor's I have seen in the past. Recommend to all my friends and family.

Long story short, WORST office ever. There was miscommunication between them and my insurance company. Turns out they dont accept my insurance, after seeing me for an office visit and an endoscopy. So they refused to see me for my follow up to get my biopsy results, started me on samples of a medication for the multiple stomach ulcers he discovered and now wont continue to treat me. I was never offered to pay cash for a visit until I can find a new doctor. My appointment was just canceled.

I've been a patient of Dr. Karthikeyan for a few years and would recommend him. He is thorough takes his time and listens to his patients concerns. I have worked at a hospital he saw patients at and I saw the same thing with them. He has cared for my husband and sister in law and we all have the same feeling on him. Thank you Dr. Karthikeyan for taking such good care of me and my family. It's nice to feel safe and cared about.
