I saw Dr Hill for a number of years. I always thought she was kind, caring and knowledgeable. Her demeanor seemed to change when I asked questions about research studies and nutrition. She became very condescending and acted like I was not capable of understanding research. I changed to a different doctor in another location and my kidney function improved. My medications were adjusted and I was referred to a renal dietitian. I wish Dr. Hill understood the importance of nutrition beyond recommending a low sodium diet.

In every category, Dr. Hill is a standout. She has been my nephrologist for nearly ten years and her medical savvy, thoroughness, have made all the difference in my health outcomes. So beyond all of that, Dr. Hill is an excellent communicator. She takes notes on points discussed during your session with her (never rushed) and you are able to walk out with a summary of what was covered. This has been invaluable for me. I can sum up Dr. Hill in one word: Peerless.

Dr. Hill personifies my image of the perfect doctor: competent, kind, compassionate, truly interested in her patients' welfare. I have never had to wait long to see her and yet she makes you feel like she has all the time you need to discuss your concerns. I would be happy to have her as my only doctor but, alas, she is a specialist. She even bothered to call me in response to receiving medical reports from another of my doctors which is unheard of this day and time.

Besides being technically excellent, Dr Hill will explain your condition, options, treatments and lab results very carefully and easy to understand at whatever level your understanding is. She, remarkably, when answering questions, or giving suggestions, will sometimes write notes about the conversation and give them directly to you so you can review what you heard at a later time. She will answer all questions and you will not feel rushed!

Dr. Hill is an excellent partner in treating my end stage renal disease. She worked closely with me to develop a proactive plan for a kidney transplant. It has been a true partnership and she has guided me each step of the way. I have been a patient of Dr. Hill's for over 20 years and could not imagine a better Nephrologist.
