Excellent Doctor
Telehealth
I am so glad I found Dr Koo. She is so kind, compassionate and understanding. I have not used since starting treatment and could not be happier. I am living life again! With addiction I was isolating myself from everyone, everything and constantly worried about getting my next fix. My way of thinking has changed completely and I now feel like I am living like a NORMAL person!! Thank You, Dr Koo

Truly cares
Telehealth
I have been seeing Dr Koo for over a year now, she is one of the kindest most caring doctors that I have ever had. She takes her time, truly listens when I speak and genuinely cares about my well being, mentally and physically! In my opinion she possesses that personal touch many doctors have lost due to negative changes in our healthcare system. She is also very knowledgable and easy to talk to.

Dr Koo made the difference in my recovery
Telehealth
I started using Telehealth in April 2021 for MAT. The doctors were generally pleasent and attentive but I definitely felt like a just one of many patients they worked with and they always seemed in a hurry. In November 2021 I scheduled an appointment with Dr Koo. It was just a prescription refill. The appointment went as usual. Dr Koo was attentive and we completed the appointment. My phone immediately rang after I closed the appointment. Dr Koo called and asked if I was ok. I had been struggling with the choices I made and the place I was in and she must have picked up on it during the appointment. I explained that to her and she provided some words of encouragement and something I will never forget. 'Millions of people have been in your spot for lots of reasons. You are taking the right steps to improve your life and have nothing to feel bad about.' I have made a point to schedule my appointments with Dr Koo ever since.

She listens to her patients, comes up with a treatment plan, and then follows up to make sure you are doing well. Dr. Koo went above and beyond to help me. I am extremely grateful!

Excellent and Attentive Provider
Telehealth
Dr. Koo is very thorough and gives the impression that she really cares about the well being of patients like me. She has been my provider for multiple years and I have always had a good relationship with her. In our first encounter, when I was still very early in the process of recovering from addiction, she was honest with me and willing to listen to my actual medication concerns instead of just ignoring them and making an entirely separate decision like other providers had in the past. Also - for anyone who might be viewing negative reviews on this platform, you should know that patients seeking addiction treatment may have unrealistic expectations and could be writing brief, inaccurate reviews based on very little interaction with Dr. Koo.

Dr. Koo review
I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr.Koo, as I have recently come across a misguided review that does her exceptional skills and expertise a disservice. As a long-time patient of Dr. Koo, I can confidently say that her level of care and dedication to her patients is unmatched. Now in regards to the negative review that reads - I called her “Susan” and she said call me Dr Koo. like you are pals? She’s your doctor, not your buddy, and doesn’t hurt to be respectful. I’ve called her Dr. Koo or Ms. Koo and she addressed me as Ms… I encourage potential patients to trust Dr. Koo’s professionalism and exceptional track record. She is an outstanding physician who genuinely cares for her patients' well-being. My personal journey with her has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to those seeking a doctor who treats both the body and the soul.

Horrible experience
I had 1 visit with dr ko, my normal dr was not available so she had he most convenient time available. I was waiting for over 30 minutes, she seemed annoyed, irritated, and less than concerned about any questions that I had. Probably the WORST dr to have any kind of interaction with when you’re newly in recovery. The lack of compassion and interest is what got me.

1st Appt (7/21) Amazing, 2nd appt was not.
I've been using QuickMD since Jan. 2021 (2nd time on Suboxone after 3yrs sober & a Pandemic Relapse). I wasn't completely happy with my original provider (Dr. Ahmad)- paying $99 for a rushed 4min appt just irks me, I want someone who really cares about my wellbeing as my Dr. Scheduling my refill July '21 Dr. Koo happened to be most convenient timing wise so I scheduled with her and was over the moon after our 20min chat- she was very engaged, interested in the unique method I had come up with to taper off of Subs before, super friendly! She mentioned that she was new to prescribing Bupe. I think they must have overloaded her w/ clients bc our next appointment she seemed annoyed, uninterested, I accidentally called her Susan and she snapped "It's DOCTOR KOO!"-yikes!! So since then I've switched to Dr. Monivirin Son and I'm so happy with his treatment. I just had a long appt with him- polite, knows his stuff, never rushes me. Bummer DR Koo maybe became overwhelmed, I had high hopes :(

Empathy is all you need for recovery.
I’m so glad I made a choice to see Dr. Koo on QuickMD. I had reservations about MAT but she made me feel at ease after answering all my questions. I feel as though she’s the bridge to my recovery. Word class provider. Thank you Dr. for all you do especially with this new or ongoing epidemic we have — long before COVID. P.S. The Reddit review about her definitely lives up to its hype.
