Dr. Susan Smolen, MD

Dr. Smolen is the most rude, power hungry, arrogant Dr I have ever worked for. I worked as a float medical assistant in the office and recently lost my position due to not wanting to work with Dr. Smolen ONLY. She uses the excuse of being 'detail-oriented' to micromanage and give the nurses a hard time. Somehow me not wanting to deal with being degraded and belittled by her (sometimes in front of patients) made me unqualified and inexperienced. I've been in the Healthcare field for over 10 years and I have never met a physician as DISGUSTING as her. Hope I never do again.

Very inefficient front office, Dr. argued with my wife over a COVID vaccine. She told my wife she hadn't gotten her third booster, when my wife had the card showing it being done in the office. She misdiagnosed a rash and also tried to charge for a missed appointment that they had wrong. When I tried to reach someone to discuss, my calls were not returned in spite of the recording stating they would be within 48 hours. Took over a month to talk to someone and when I complained they sent me a letter saying find another doctor.

I visited Dr. Smolen, she was using rude words and annoying repeatedly, didn't check my records for my concerns during the visit. She did not care about what the patient wants. I would not recommend her to anyone for the way she treats her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smolen for many years. She is very professional, trustworthy and kind. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Smolen has been my physician for a few years now. My experience with her and the office has been excellent. Dr. Smolen is knowledgeable, caring, and takes time to explain things to you. I feel lucky to have her as my physician.

Dr Smolen was filling in for Dr Chase who was on vacation, I have been a long time patient of Dr Chase (20+ years) and have always received excellent profession care from Dr Chase. I requested a prescription for hydro therapy so I could receive a credit on the purchase of a hydro therapy spa to relieve my daily pain in my knees, back and shoulder. After several calls and a visit to her office I was told by the office manager that Dr Smolen would not write the prescription because there was nothing in my records that indicated that I would need this type of therapy. I asked to speak to Dr Smolen to discuss the numerous treatments and surgeries I have received through out the years that have left me with the joint pain but was not granted that meeting.. This was not a prescription for a drug but for a therapy which I was paying for out of pocket. If Dr Smolen had taken the time to review my complete record she would see that I had seen all the surgeries I had undergone.

Takes time for the patient and very likely person.

I have been going to Dr. Smolen for more than 15 years, and I hope to continue with her for 15 more years! She is thorough and takes her time with her patients. I feel like I can talk to her about anything, and she listens. Rarely do I wait more than 15 minutes to see her.

She is thorough, angaged and the spends the time needed to discuss my health concerns.

I just love Dr. Smolen. I have been a patient for 10 years and she is always caring and attentive. I trust her on my care and that of my friends and family without any hesitation. This is why anyone looking for a family doctor, I recommend her. I know when I go to see her and sit down to talk about what is going on, she will sit with me and LISTEN. I never feel rushed or unheard.

Dr. Smolen is a very caring and trustworthy doctor. I have complete faith in her diagnosis of my problems. I would highly recommend her to any of my family and friends.
