Dr. Susan Trese, MD

I recommend Dr. Trese to anyone needing psychiatric medication. Dr. Trese listens, she is empathic and she is extremely smart. She is very responsive to emergencies. I especially appreciate that I can make my appointments on line.

5 month period in 2018. I know another former client w/ complaints & every mental health professional makes the same expression bc she's known to be disliked. I use they/them pronouns. She told me she didn't care bc it's not a part of her job, it's not what we were there for, etc. She treated it as something separate from me & irrelevant. At our initial meeting, I discussed my eating habits & appetite (I've had an ED for several years.) She asked if I wanted a diagnosis/do something about it. I said no to preserve my mom's fragile feelings. She dropped it & never did anything. With how much my ED worsened I can't believe she did that. She'd come up with so many inaccurate things about me, so I'd respond then she'd tell me I'm wrong, she knows she's right, then ignore me. I had to yell to be heard (which caused more issues). She'd talk past me to my mom. At one point she tried to prescribe pills for disobedience. As in a behavior w/ no asscoiation to a mental/physical condition.

Dr. Trese is very professional and really cares about her patients total well being. I was very impressed that she contacted my cardiologist when proposing a change in my medication to make sure there were no risk to my heart health. Very recently she proactively completed the referral forms I needed to see a sleep specialist. She knows that your overall health and mental health go hand. I think that Dr. Susan Trese is wonderful psychiatrist!
