Approachable & no-nonsense
Summary: Professional but friendly, efficient but not rushed, consummately respectful and genderqueer-positive.Longer version: I felt heard, seen, and respected. She didn't talk with me a long time, but I didn't feel rushed. I'm certainly no doctor, but I felt my concerns were heard. I made the mistake of not realizing she was an MD (I'd been told when scheduling that my appointment was with an ARNP) but she didn't correct me, which seemed unusual for a doctor. The appointment was (as usual) not very long, but we covered all my questions (usually there's only time with doctors to cover one, maybe two symptoms). I was impressed, which is really something for me - I've seen many specialists since I was young, and I've left appointments many times feeling like it was just an exercise in futility. Not so with this practioner.
