Dr. Suzette Sanchez, DO

I was referred by a specialist for an ongoing rash that they wanted biopsied. They wanted to schedule me several months out. I explained I was currently experiencing the rash and was not sure it would be there by the time I had my appointment. They gave the option to call each week at a certain day/time to see if I could get in for a cancelation. I ended up with the original appointment and the rash had almost cleared up all the way by the time of my visit. I told her this, that I had the rash for over 6 weeks and requested to get in while it was active but told they couldn't squeeze me in and she dismissed the thought that they would ever consider squeezing people in. I showed her pictures of the rash and she was uninterested, offered no thoughts on what it could be, was dismissive of my questions, and rude the entire 5 minutes I saw her. She told me to call back when it came back (with a wait , no doubt). Complete waste of time to be treated poorly and have to pay for it, too!

She was very dismissive. I waited a month to be seen with painful symptoms, saw her for less than 10 minutes and left the office in tears. She did nothing but give accusations and prescribe medication I was told to stop by my pcp. She referred to me as a “typical housewife.” Front desk staff were kind.

I never write bad reviews but I feel I needed to in this case. I went in for a whole body screening because I have had skin cancer in the past. She kept saying how "moley" I was and said it wasn't any wonder that I had skin cancer. Moles are hereditary in my family. I felt like I was being scolded. My complaint is this-she said I had a suspicious mole and wanted to take a sample of it to send to the lab. I felt uncomfortable the minute I walked into her office and I still do not understand why I allowed her to even touch me, but because I had skin cancer in the past, I was concerned. She took a sample (a plug) of my skin. She did not stich up the hole after she was done. I questioned this and she told me it wasn't necessary. I have had other "plugs" done and they were ALWAYS stitched up. I bled until the next day and then the area got infected. I called the office. They didn't care. I had to go to urgent care for treatment. Staff was unprofessional and so was she. Horrid experience.

Dr. Sanchez is a wonderful Doctor. She asks questions and knows what should be done. I highly recommend her! Her office staff is very friendly too.

Do NOT patronize this doctor. I needed a prescription refill, called the office, was informed that I would have to see her. I then found out that she wasn't in Grand Rapids any more. What kind of a doctor moves away and doesn't inform her patients? I repeat: Do NOT patronize this doctor.

Always thorough and matter of fact. I've been a patient for 10 years.

I came in because of a cyst problem, she looked at it for 2 seconds, wrote me a prescription for over priced medication that did not work and billed me a bunch of money for her "time"

Dr. Sanchez is always willing to fit me in when I come home. This is not typical for a specialist and I feel so valued by her! She listened to my worries about my acne getting worse and changed my medication dose and a different cream. My acne is completely cleared. All I can say is wow! 10/10 would recommend! Additionally, Dr. Sanchez will even take Medicaid which lots of dermatologists will not so if you’re worried about payment don’t let that hold you back!

Dr. Sanchez is matter of fact, analytical and professional in her treatment. In a day and age where time is precious I appreciate her expertise in diagnosing and advising treatment in a timely manor.

Not even worth my time! Went with a painful reoccurring cyst, she told me she wouldn't do anything and sent me away. Still charged me 140$ for the not even 5 min i talked to her. For what I got, I was robbed!

Came here at the suggestion of my family doctor to check out a mole on my shoulder. Dr Sanchez looked at it for about 30 seconds and said it's an age spot. Got a bill for over $200. Wham! Then I find out that they don't accept my health care plan even though it lists my provider on their website. Not coming back.

First time ever at a dermatologist. I was very unimpressed with Dr Sanchez. I will not be returning to her. Did not take more than 5 minutes with me and did not even look at everything I needed her to. Horrible bedside manners, no idea why she is practicing medicine.

Been going to her for 10 years. Forgot my card once. They have it on file. I saw it. Was told I had to pay cash. When I asked to speak with her, I was told she said she had better things to do.

Horrible. Took my preschool aged child for an ongoing skin issue. Doctor didn't even examine her or look at the issue! In and out in a minute with no help!!

I saw Dr.Sanchez twice for persistent adult acne on my face and upper torso. She seemed in a hurry and wasn't all that interested in trying to help, listen or find a solution for my problem. Staff was often short and somewhat rude toward me when I checked in/out. After 2 visits to Dr. Sanchez I decided to go to a different Dr. as I just wasn't getting quality treatment at this office.

My son was extremely upset upon leaving the office. We went to have lesions removed from his lips. Let me give a lil bg info...my son had been treated at our family doctors office for what they said where warts(treatment didn't work ), upon getting referred to dermatologist it was determined they where lesions and needed to be cut out and stiched up. Today we got to the office,called into room,told there warts and to eat better TRIED frez off again. Wouldn't listen to us!!! So much more no ..
