Dr. Svetlana Fomin, MD

Terrible. Dr. Fomin did not listen to my concerns at all. After every word I said she went “mmm hmm.” Then asked me the same questions multiple times. She was extremely condescending, disrespectful, rude, & had zero bedside manner. She talked to me like I’m an idiot. I’ve already gone through countless tests for my thyroid for almost 3 years. Yet she claimed there was not enough information & I needed to go through more. Refused to prescribe medication, & requested a follow-up in 3 weeks. I was so angry I almost walked out mid-appointment. I am never going back to her. It was an awful experience, & I’ve seen a lot of medical professionals. Stay away.

She diagnosed my husband with advanced thyroid cancer, took care of him in timely matter with proper surgical referral, treatment, and always talked to us and explained every step of the treatment.

I scheduled my first visit with Dr. Fomin and was able to get an appointment fairly quickly; however, I was called several times asking to reschedule. Once I finally had my appointment, Dr. Fomin didn't seem too interested in my case, did not ask me for a thorough medical background and relayed a rather baseless diagnosis w/o much background info. She didn't seem too interested in how the medication she prescribed interacted with the other medications I was taking. Dismissive on all accounts.

My experience with Dr. Svetlana Fomin is by far one of the worst experiences I've had with a medical professional. I scheduled an initial consult with her office 6 weeks in advance, stressing the importance of my condition and my need for an endocrinologist. The office scheduled me incorrectly and proceeded to reschedule me twice before I got in to see her, at which point they cancelled my visit when I arrived. Her office is rude, as is she, with no regard for patient care.
