Dr. Sydney King, MD

He and his office disappeared with all my medical records! I never saw the man the whole time going to his 3100 s Tam TR office only his ARNP.

I never once got to see the doctor; always the ARNP; now he has disappeared and I can't get any of my records of my different test results.

I have been a patient of this office for about 5 years. I have never met Dr. King. I was always seen by his nurse practitioner, who was excellent. A few months ago, everyone in the office quit. There was a new nurse practitioner for a bit, but I found she left, too. I was given some tests by a part-time person, and after she texted Dr. King about some heart irregularities I had been experiencing, I was given a heart monitor to wear for two weeks. It was given to me by a nurse who wasn’t familiar with the monitor. After a few weeks, no one contacted me with the results of my tests. So I called the office. No one ever answers the phone, and no one calls you back. After leaving a message with a practice manager, he also never called back. Possibly he’s no longer there. I have requested that another cardiologist obtain my records so I can be seen at their practice. I hope they are able to obtain them!

Office rescheduled follow up visit for my husband 7 times after having a triple bypass. He was supposed to be seen 2 weeks after hospital release. Manager wouldn't take my calls, told staff to send me to her voicemail. I showed up in person and she said I'm not their patient and she won't listen to me. My husband just had heart surgery and you stressed him out and it is my job to speak up for him. Awful management and service. We went else where and found a fantastic cardiologist.

My first visit with Dr. King was very favorable. Very pleasant guy and a seemingly great staff. When it was determined that Sarasota Memorial would not accept my insurance for a procedure I had to be admitted for, Dr. King told me that he would set me up with a colleague of his at Drs Hospital, where my insurance was good. To make a long story short, after weeks of calling his office (and even his personal cell phone), I have not been contacted by him. This began on March 15; today is May 31

He is highly knowlegable, he understood my condition, prescribed a course of medicine to correct the cardiac problem after inserting a stent in my heart.

I recently saw Dr. King and was very happy with him. He spent as much time with me and my husband as we needed to understand my diagnosis and the recommended treatment. I found our visit with him to be very educational. He was very upbeat which was a great comfort during a very stressful time. i also liked that he is board certified and up on all the newest procedures.
