Knee Surgery - Not Good
I went to Dr. Habib with a meniscus tear and he advised surgery. I was in a lot of pain afterwards, no history of narcotic abuse or any other abuse and they refused to give me more than 5 pain pills...5! I had a fall 2 days after surgery so I was in bad pain. I rarely take anything for pain and they gave me such a tough time about it that I had my family doctor prescribe pain pills. It was ridiculous! He didn't send me to PT until 7 weeks after surgery which made it very tough to get my mobility back. After one office visit where I complained that I needed PT, he referred me to a bariatric surgeon. I'm overweight but before surgery ran 5ks and worked out 4 days a week. Getting fat shamed by a fat doctor who I'm sure doesn't work out as much as I do is misogynistic. He kept telling me he should have done a knee replacement instead. Then why didn't he? I'll never go back to him, he's horrible.

Dr. Habib is an awesome doctor. He is caring, he listens, and he is thorough. He performed a hip replacement surgery on my left hip September 1, 2020. I am experiencing a speedy and successful recovery. My incision is barely noticeable. There have been great improvements in my daily activities and overall quality of life. I am no longer experiencing chronic pain in my left hip caused by debilitating osteoarthritis. I would highly recommend Dr. Habib to anyone in need of orthopedic attention as a co-worker recommended him to me. (His staff is helpful and friendly too.) Thank you Dr. Habib!

I have been needing to have knee replacement for years. I waited before it became incredibly necessary. Through multiple recommendations from doctors to patients, I came to Dr.Syed Habib for a consultation and eventually the surgery. From the very beginning, he took the time to make me feel comfortable and explained the entire procedure from start to finish. He put me and my family at ease. He not only was kind, understanding and empathetic but a great surgeon. It has been a little over two months and I am feeling like a new person. I will be needing to to do my other knee and would not want to go to anyone else but him. Highly recommended him to anyone looking for a great Orthopedetic surgeon. My thanks and appreciations for the staff of Beaumont Hospital.

I went in for 2nd opinion about my shoulder. My previous surgeon said there wS nothing he could do for me. I saw Dr. Habib. He did exrays while I was there. Scheduled an mri the same week and 2 weeks later he operated. I was also very happy that he would do my surgery at Beaumont Wayne . I am fond of that hospital. I use tge lab, imaging and anything else I need to do there if possible. The staff there is all very wonderful. I am post surgery 1 1/2 weeks. Started pt after 6 days. I am very pleased with the overall performance of my procedure. Dr.Habib is very easy to understand he explains everything so you can know exactly what is wrong, how he will be fixing it. The ease of coming into his office and not being rushed or held up by overbooked appointments. His staff is also wonderful. Phyllis his nurse is amazing when it comes to her job and getting your paperwork done in a timely manner. I would suggest Dr.Habib and his staff to all of my family and friends.

Dr Habib did surgery on my badly broken humerus. He is very professional, caring and very competent. If you need surgery on a bone he is the man. He will not due unnecessary surgeries so if you do not need it he will not do it. My husband will go to him when it's time for his hip replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Habib and am so grateful he did my surgery. ?

I had ACL replacement, meniscus repair, and MCL repair by Dr. Habib and I couldn't be more satisfied with my results. My injury was quite severe and Dr. Habib's gentle demeanor put me at ease, along with his excellent experience and track record. The staff at the Beaumont Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic is excellent as well. I will be recommending Dr. Habib to any of my family and friends that needs an orthopedic surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Habib!

My mother had knee replacement. He accidentally nicked a tendon in her kner. He then had to put her in a brace that went from her groin down to her ankle. She was supposed to be in that a month then a smaller brace and gradually go down to not needing one. A month later he did x-ray said she needed to be in the full one another month. We have yet to hear from him since. They keep pushing her appointments out then doing it again and again. Her physical therapist stopped all her therapy because she has called numerous times and different ppl and no one will call her back. Ive called and no one will call me back. He was supposed to call in her prescriptions he never did so she went with out pain meds after surgery. He has totally dropped the ball in everything with my mother's surgery. We dont know if her knee will ever be right because she has been walking on that knee with no brace because the original one is now to big and dont stay on now that the swelling has went down. Horrible doc

I tore my rotator cuff so bad it could not be repaired. First Specialist I seen said he could not do anything for me. My Primary doctor suggest going to Dr. Syed Habib and im glad i did. He Suggested a surgery using a piece of cadaver To fix my shoulder. I can now move my shoulder with out so much pain. I dont have all the movement like you do having a rotator cuff but do have use of it with some Limitations and a lot less pain. Very happy .

Dr. Habib and his staff did an excellent job. When it was determined that I had a unique injury - an ACL avulsion/tibial eminence fracture and meniscus tear, Dr. Habib took his time with planning. He was able to fix my injury completely arthroscopically. Other surgeons may have jumped to do an ACL reconstruction, a much more invasive and partially open procedure. I was back to running in 3 months. I am now back to playing high level basketball at the same strength as before the injury.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Habib! I worked with him as an inpatient ortho nurse, and I was so impressed by his bedside manner and the high standards of care that he held to both himself and the staff that I referred my father to him for a much-needed hip replacement. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon! Dr. Habib was attentive, patient, kind, and was always happy to answer questions. Also, I never once saw one of his patients come back with an infection. Highly recommend!

Drove over 200 miles one way to have a knee scope for my husband with Dr. Habib. Dr. Habib goes above and beyond to explain procedures and possible outcomes before surgery and the actual outcome after surgery. He made contact with my husband two days after surgery to see how he was doing and offer advice. He is all around the BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON!! More than pleased with the outcome and will travel again to see him if any other surgeries are needed for my family in the future.

Dr. Habib is an incredible surgeon with a very gentle, patient & caring bedside manner. He never rushes thru appointments & answers all questions thoroughly. He performed 2 wrist surgeries & 1 hip surgery (he came in on his day off this time) for my 91 year old mother. He also performed a knee surgery for myself this year. I would not even consider another surgeon to perform any orthopedic treatment. Dr. Habib is top notch and an incredible person, who goes above and beyond every time.

Dr. Habib has repaired rotator cuffs on both of my shoulders. I have regained full range of motion in both shoulders. Dr. is friendly , was on time for appointments, treated me with respect, acted professionally and is very knowledgeable. He takes time to explain in terms you understand and answers all your questions. His staff was very helpful in obtaining test results from my doctor. He is conveniently located on the first floor. I would recommend him to anyone in my family and to friends.

My shoulder was damaged in a fall. I had a torn Supraspinatus muscle and damage to the long head Bicep Tendon. I also had Arthritis, bone spurs and damage to the Labrum. Dr. Habib went over what he expected to find and accomplish with the surgery. He answered all of my questions and concerns and made me feel very comfortable. My husband and family were happy with the post surgical discussion at the hospital. I am extremely pleased with my care and highly recommend Dr. Habib and his staff.
