I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my daughter received from Dr. Barnes. Being thousands of miles away in Japan while she was in Savannah having her surgery consult was a daunting experience, but Dr. Barnes made it so much easier. He took the time to talk to me on FaceTime, assuring I was comfortable and well-informed about the gallbladder removal surgery my daughter was to undergo.Dr. Barnes was not only friendly and courteous, but he also treated my daughter as if she were his own. His professionalism and compassion were evident from our first interaction. The use of advanced robotics and the involvement of a resident during the procedure showcased his commitment to excellence and education.The surgery went smoothly, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Dr. Barnes was the surgeon on call when I came to Memorial with a phone recommendation for immediate gall bladder surgery. The staff got me in quickly. Following a brief wait, Dr. Barnes met with me and my family to explain both the procedure and its risks. His open, friendly manner and clear skill in robotic surgery immediately engendered trust. Because of my 40 years of resistance, Dr. Barnes was faced with handling a situation that had become a near crisis. I and my family cannot give enough praise to such a thoughtful and knowledgeable physician, one who is so easy to talk to and so willing to listen.

I've totally enjoyed my exprience with Dr. Barnes. He is very courteous, friendly and explains everything very well. His staff is very warm, friendly and enjoyable to work with. I highly recomment him to others.

Dr. Barnes sincerely cares for his patients and he is obviously dedicated to his field. His skills with robotics were evident. I healed quickly (from a serious operation) due to his skills in the robotics field. No large incisions and the recovery time was very short. Dr. Barnes's bedside manner surpasses any previous experience I have had. If you want the best of care, Dr. Barnes is your man. I recommend him without reservation.

The two compliments that I offer about Dr. Barnes: 1.) he expresses love for the opportunity to help people, 2.) during our first visit, it was obvious that he sincerely cares for his patients. In my opinion, his robotics surgical skills are unsurpassed, as is his bedside manner. He greatly improved my sister's quality of life. Much appreciation from our family for Dr. Barnes.

Dr. Barnes has performed 2 surgeries on my dad. Dr. Barnes made my dad feel comfortable throughout the process as well as the rest of our family. Dr. Barnes called me after hours to give me updates multiple times. He is upfront and honest and thorough. We are so grateful for Dr. Barnes and his expertise!

I was having pain in my left abdomen for about a year and it got so bad that I went to emergency at Memorial Savannah and after a battery of tests they found that the source of my pain was a hernia. I was referred to Dr. Barnes by the ER Physicians and he saw me at his office and determined it was a rare spiglien hernia and scheduled surgery to correct the issue. Dr. Barnes is a caring down to earth doctor who I would rate as one of the best I've experienced in my lifetime of 69 years. He explained the procedure to repair my hernia in great detail and made me feel comfortable about having the surgery and I'm quite pleased with the results.

I went in to have my hiatal hernia repaired and Dr Barnes was very thorough about explaining how things would go and put me at ease right away. After my surgery I've had a great recovery it's been 2 weeks now, and pretty much everything that he explained is how it went. I would not hesitate to have Dr Barnes perform any surgery if I needed it in the future. He has a great way about him makes you feel so comfortable, and you get the sense that both he and his staff really care. Also a shout out to the surgical nurses after. Having any surgery isn't pleasant but I have to say that it was better than I expected all around.

Barnes was actually recommended to see after an ER visit. I never see a doctor without reviewing as many grades as possible. With that said- The MetroSurgical team is absolutely awesome and felt more like friends than staff. Barnes is a very funny but utterly honest and straight forward doc. He has been a great listener, assuring, and excels in compassion and empathy. Wait times- what wait time? I was always seen in a timely matter and the appointments never took up more time than it needed to be. I wouldn’t blink an eye to have him as a part of your health team. Trust me (like I said, I do my research and am VERY picky who I see), he’s GREAT!

My first visit this past week reassured me that I'm in safe hands for the work that lays ahead. He answered all my unanswered questions from before my appointment due to tests that had been run in the weeks prior. Not only did he answer them, but he reassured me that my questions, all my questions, will be answered in the time I will be his patient, however long that might be.

I was referred to Dr. Ellis Barnes by my Primary Care. Dr. Robert Weeks. I met Dr. Barnes and his nurse Ashley very helpful and reassuring that they are going to take good care of you. Dr. Barnes and his staff treat you like family. He explained what he thinks the problem is and has ordered a CT scan to confirm what is going on with me. Dr. Barnes bedside manners is AMAZING!! My daughter spoke so highly of him when she had her Gallbladder surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Ellis Barnes

Went to see Dr. Barnes for a cyst on my back. He let me know my options. He was quick and thorough. I chose not to have surgery but would recommend him and his staff.

Dr Barnes is a great surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a surgery. He is highly regarded in the Operating Room at Candler by his colleagues. He takes time to listen to your concerns.

All went as planned and on time. Dr Barnes is personable and very informative.

My hernia surgery was back in September . I work in shipyard as mechanic no such thing as light duty work there, recovery 3 weeks and back to work no problems no pain . I would highly recommend Doctor Barnes
