Dr. Stroman was our family’s pediatrician for 18 years. He came to hospital with hot chocolate for my then seven year old daughter when she was admitted for something or other. When my newborn son began sleeping 15-20 hours a night, Dr. Stroman stepped out to his office and made some phone calls to ask for second opinions before assuring us everything else seemed normal and told me to keep documenting how much formula he was drinking and how long he was sleeping. The consensus was that my son must need the sleep. And he was right. My now 26 year-old son is brilliant and talented and successful. My son also had dermatographitism. Doc had to look up the name of it, but wasn’t too proud to tell us that. He marched in with a textbook and pointed it out. That’s the Dr. Stroman we know.: generous and dedicated and good-humored. He saw all 3 of my kids to healthy adulthoods.

What a horrible man
Literally from day one I disliked him. If you have a different opinion or disagree with him, he turns on the attitude instead of listening to you like a person and parent who knows your child. He was condescending, made fun of my husband, and he misdiagnosed my child 3 separate times. Yelled at me, telling me 'I'm the doctor here'. His ego is bad and character is worse. 2 years we dealt with it, just doing shots and using urgent care for issues but I'm done. My biggest issue (before now) was when my son reacted to peanuts at 8 months old. He told me that it wasn't possible that it was an allergy since it was his first exposure and he didn't vomit. Said to go home and feed him a pb&j and come back if he reacts again. I took him to the allergist instead, who told me that the doc was giving wrong information and my son had a severe allergy.

I Highly dislike him. My daughter was about 2 weeks old and screaming because she couldn’t poop. She was eating just fine but he told me she just ran out of poop and to stop worrying about it. This went on for days until I could get her into a new dr who actually helped her. I was a first time mom and had PPD. All I could do was cry. He made me feel stupid every time I talked to him. I’m so glad we took my daughter to a new Pediatrician.
