Worst doctor ever. TOOK FOREVER 4 hours to see me coming in with chest pain to the ER. Did not listen to me, I came in with crushing chest pain he told me it was anxiety and wanted to give me an anxiety med didn’t listen to anything I said. Saw cardiologist a few days later and I have pericarditis. He made me feel so stupid I’ve never cried at the doctors or hospital before and he made me cry, I work in healthcare and he didn’t care about any of my knowledge and wrote me off. I told him I didn’t want a bandaid for the issue and he said that’s not my problem????

great doctor
Brought husband to Mercy for a stroke. Dr Melson was the doctor on duty. Couldnt have asked for a nicer man and more caring person. Glad we got him for a doctor. Very good doctor

I was brought in to Mercy Hospital, by ambulance, in March 2014, unaware of how I got there, and was "treated" by Dr. Melson. I wanted answers as to what happened and why it was continuing, he did nothing for me, and after a while he and his nurse were outside my cubicle running their mouth about me saying I was "faking it". I ended up trying to sneak out before discharge and then all of a sudden he was concerned about my health and was willing to find out what was wrong. Won't see him again.

Very attentive. Seemed genuinely concerned and wanting to take the best course of action. Explained things very clearly and in a "no sugar coat" type of way. Would recommend 100%.
