Dr. Tamara Liss, MD

This is the best medical office in Boca. You are greeted by warm and friendly staff. The doctor is personable and engaged. The wait is short. The girls answer the phones and the doctor is timely with call backs. I only have great things to say about this practice and I've been to many doctors offices.

Awful! Terrible! Not a single bedside manner about her!

I have been a patient for many years. Not because Dr. Liss was warm, friendly, compassionate or an exemplary physician. She is none of those things. Mainly, I stayed in the practice because her staff was efficient and kind. The office was easy to get to and since I usually had to go only 2 times per year I was OK with her cold manner. My annual physical and blood work was at a convenient location. I could get in and out since I work full time. My last visit Dr. Liss informed me quite dispassionately the practice was going to a concierge service and handed me a contract. She told me there are not too many good Doctors in Boca. Did not say goodbye, thank you for being a patient all these years, nor did she wish me well. After my visit, her office called and told me to find another physician for the pre-ops for my upcoming surgery. Dr. Liss no longer wanted patients on insurance and obviously, me as well. I'm sure I will find a new Doctor and will be happier, too.

Dr. Liss is not a very compassionate physician. She is cursory and wants to have as little to do with her patients as possible. If you are looking to find someone with any bedside manner or personality, look elsewhere. Her staff, especially, Melissa is kind and competent. Her office needs to be updated, it is not too clean and everything is very dated.

Dr. Liss is arrogant and insulting. At a well checkup recently she was argumentative and disrespectful to me when I merely said I disagreed with what she was suggesting I do and that my feelings were based on legitimate and trusted medical studies. She must not have been aware of these studies. Since that visit, additional scientific studies further prove what I mentioned to her was indeed true. Dr. Liss' personality also leaves a lot to be desired. She has a cold bedside manner; her exams are cursory, and she shows little care and concern. Her nurses on the other hand are friendly, more caring, and more thorough when taking blood pressure, etc. and for this reason ONLY I gave a one-star rating. Find another doctor if you truly care about your health!

My husband was weak and sick. After a visit to urgent care, he was no better. Dr Liss did a thorough assessment and bloodwork. She determined within the same visit that he needed hospitalization. His kidneys were blocked and he was in renal failure. Dr Liss is well connected and well known at Boca Regional Hospital. Within no time my husband was seen by a urologist and underwent an emergency procedure to open up his blocked kidneys. Time was of the essence. With limited visitation during covid, Dr Liss communicated with me daily. Her care and excellent diagnostic skills saved my husband’s life!

She does NOT do telehealth. My mother is a patient of Dr Liss, has mobility issues and cannot get in to the office to see the Dr - she is having some issues, I called and was told they don’t do telehealth as they “had issues with the program they were using”. In these days of covid, all Dr’s should make this available to their patients - it inexcusable that they have just hung my mother out to dry - unless she comes into the office, which unfortunately, is not an option. I could NEVER, recommend this Dr if this is how she treats her patients.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Liss. I find her caring and on top of any problems I have. Her office is also easy to deal with and efficient.

Dr. Liss is a below average doctor. She has no true interest in her patients and performs basic minimal testing and care. If you have anything complex to take care of seek help elsewhere. I left her practice when she refused to call me back despite my calls for her help.

Arrogant- did not listen. Comments were condescending and not based on any medical data.

You will be very happy you went to Dr Liss. She has over 20 years of experience in her field and is highly respected in the community by all the specialists and comes highly recommended from Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Great doctor. Well run office. Personable staff. Would highly recommend!

I have been to many doctors offices, but finally found Dr Liss. She is most professional, considerate, caring and very knowledgable. I have recommended a lot of my friends to her who equally have had an excellent experience. I trust Dr Liss and feel very comfortable confiding in her.

Absolute WORSE doctors office I have ever been to. The secretaries have the worst personality and the doctor was no help at all, as well as poor personality, overall worst experience I have ever had at a professional office.

Prompt, efficient, very knowledgeable. Good bedside manner. Excellent!
