Arrogant
She initially dismissed my herniated lung then it got worse and collapsed. She was in a hurry during my emergent surgery and got into an argument with the operating room staff. He assistants have the same attitude but one is worse than the other.

My wife’s surgery 4-9-24 .. & and the worse after
On 4-4-24 my wife had a small marble sized spot on her upper left lobe. That was @ another hospital came back as large cell carsonomo. We were referred to this Dr from the regional facility. Well the surgery went ok, she couldn’t use the Robot for the whole time, So she had to go in with a huge incision on her back ,& break a Rib , later to find out , Dr DIDT TELL HER THST Part. So after spending from Tuesday- Sunday morning at the hospital, which the food is so BAD. My Dog wouldn’t eat it. THAT , Saturday morning, I was present, there for my wife most the time.. Dr Baxter other surgeon in her same office “the guy”. Comes into the room , & I QUOTE.. says . We’re taking you off the pain pump , and going to see what dosage of pain meds to send you home tomorrow with ..!!! His EXACT, Words.. my wife was taking 10mg pain pills every 4 hours. So we get released , get to our local pharmacy, only to FIND OUT, they had prescribed her 5mg & only for 5 days. After taking 10’s .

She ignored me when I told her how much pain I am in. She wouldn't even look at the surgical site. She said she would schedule me an appointment with a pain clinic, she never did. I made my own appointment. They looked at the surgical site and could see that there was something wrong. I was sent for another CT and they discovered another mass!!!! AND IT WAS THERE WHEN SHE DID THE SURGERY!!!!!!

Dr. Baxter was rushed and arrogant. She did not even call me after a biopsy of a tumor that was potentially cancerous. She went out of town five days after the biopsy. I asked the office to have her call me. When she did call me, she was rude and said, "I'm on vacation"! When I have related this story to other doctors, they were horrified!

This lady saved my life literally. If you have to travel to see her and even if it costs you allot of money for hotel etc then do it. She gives you one gift and that's life. She's of course experienced in many other areas but as far as being a surgeon i died 3 times on the table and she was on top of it like it was nothing. Like it didn't even blip on her radar. Once i was ok she just kept working. It took me over a month of rehabilitation just to walk without being severely out of breath. Today I'm so thankful for this wonderful lady that i could never repay the gift she's given me. Look if you or a loved one needs a thoracic surgeon she's top of the mountain period. Everyone else is under her. Even her staff is so experienced one especially could do what Baxter does herself but instead acts as #2 and helps just tremendously. If you wanna roll the dice them go ahead but if you want a sure thing and you want to live then you better go see her now!

I am very pleased with Dr. Baxter. Her performance with my lung surgery were excellent. She has a sweet and concerned personality about you and explains things where they are understandable. I would recommend her to anybody, friends or family. Thank you Dr. Baxter for your care during surgery and my after care.

Best healthcare experience I ever experienced. Dr. Baxter took all the time I needed to ask questions and she reviewed all the test which the prior doctors who ordered the test did not take the time to review with me. She was very thorough in explaining the upcoming procedure. She made my family and I very comfortable and confident in her care. Her office staff, medical assistants and nurse were also great to deal with.

Dr. Baxter removed a small endobronchial carcinoid tumor from my 32 yo son's right lung by laser on 06/29/2016. He was given a good prognosis and was asked to come back quarterly for bronchoscopy followups which he did. While under her care, my son died on 08/29/2017 of Interstitial pneumonitis with bronchiolitis and pulmonary hypertension changes, Bronchial asthma. I wanted her to review the ME report and tell me what happened to him but she would not return my calls. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
