Patient Mill - kids deserve better
We were told Dr. Evans 'specialized' in special needs kids, but found that not to be the case. For several years we traveled to her office from 40 miles away hoping to get experienced, thoughtful, patient-focused, decisive care. Even during the pandemic, she would not answer simple questions or concerns over email or telehealth. IF she responded, she told us to call for an appointment to come in. We would sometimes wait 2 months to get in only to be referred elsewhere with our concerns. Our son has anxiety and extreme fear of dental work and medical procedures. She saw first hand how scared and uncooperative he was in her office. Hospitals and dentists advised us to get a sedative from the primary doctor for procedures but Dr. Evans would never prescribe it. Sometimes, she wouldn't even respond. Instead, she referred us to a new dentist with a recommendation to do dental work in the OR at Mary Bridge Hospital where we received a bill for $38,000 (for cleaning and a filling).

Dr Evans is an amazing physician who takes her time to focus on our daughter and really look for solutions to the problems and help us make informed and partnered decisions. The fact she listens and discusses things with us and does not dismiss our input is refreshing and the results for us have been incredible.
