Dr. Tara Byrne, MD

I wish there was an option to leave zero stars. Dr. Byrne was incredibly dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. We were in the ER for the 3rd time in 8 days-my mother was experiencing random surges of adrenaline, became cold and clammy, and was having intense tachycardia. My mother has had panic attacks before, and knew these were not panic attacks. She had started a new medicine 3 days prior to this visit, but had been experiencing these symptoms for about a month. In our visit to the ER, Dr. Byrne’s solution was “just get off your medication.” When we explained the medication wasn’t causing it, she told us 4 times that we should just see a primary care physician and that she would be issuing discharge papers. We explained we were fearful to go home, and that if she discharged, we may be back later that night as her episodes were getting more frequent and she had nearly lost consciousness 2x. Her response was a heartless “fine, you do that. I’ll be here all night”, and to walk away.

She never touched me. She dismissed my concerns and discharged me. She was very rude. I cannot stress enough that she’s negligent.
