Dr. Tara Newsome, MD

Her office was poorly organized and ran when she was with ARH but now that she moved to Big Sandy it is spot on. Easy to communicate with and helpful. Dr Newsome is awesome and works well with me and listens and helps me with my healthcare I have several long term chronic health issues and she is very caring and helpful. She isn’t afraid to correct me when I am wrong and will answer all my questions clearly and make sure I understand everything to my satisfaction. I can not sing her praises enough. She is a rare gem among doctors when most are just in it for the money and to turn over patients like cattle she is a Doctor that really cares.

She’s very rude and doesn’t care about her patients

Dr is good,But hard to get call though.No one never answers the phone so if need to call plan on it taking days to get a answer. It took me 3 days to get a answer and that was trying about every hour or so.

Dr. Newsome is a good doctor and you'll like her. Unfortunately, her office is run poorly. I was a patient for three years and while I like and trust her, I can't work with her office staff any longer. Good luck getting refills ordered or calls returned. God help you if you need a Prior Authorization. Enjoy calling for weeks to get anything accomplished. I've paid out of pocket on my last two refills because I can't get a simple PA submitted.
