Waited 2 hours on first visit!
No explanation was offered for the 2 hour wait but I suspect the receptionist was to blame. I say this because after 45 minutes in the lobby I heard someone ask her whether I was there. I spoke up and she asked whether or not she had copied my i.d. and medical cards (she had). After being ushered to an exam roon and stats gathered I was told the doctor would be in shortly. After waiting al.ost an hour I went out into the hall and was about to leave when she ahowed up. Not certain they had info from my previous physician because her first question was what was I seeing her for. They did not obtain my lab records either. She seems nice enough but was obviously frazzled and irritated. I will give her a chance but if this happens again I will be looking for someone else yet again.

Marginal physician
This physician spent 5 minutes with me as a new patient. All she did was listen to my breathing with her stethoscope. She did not seemed interested in providing a good physical exam. Then she said see you in a year. Very bad experience and lack of patient care.

Seven years and never even close to on time
I am leaving her practice after seven years. Once she kept me waiting for 30 minutes. This was her best. Most times you will wait an hour and then she will run in and out. Last time she ordered the wrong labs and never followed up once the correct tests were done.

Dr. Cheema is an excellent internist. Unfortunately the practice is very poorly managed. On my last visit I waited one and a half hours after my appointment time. I managed a large medical practice and understand that a physician may get behind not knowing what issues may come up with the patients before you. My staff was told to inform the patients when they arrived that the doctor is running behind, approximately how far behind and to keep the patient informed throughout the wait. Had I been informed, I would have called my afternoon appointment and rescheduled. This practice needs competent management.
