No follow up
My mom had an endoscopy at Mount Carmel. She had been in the hospital for 2 days prior to….Dr Manokos did not follow up with us after the procedure. He didn’t tell us what he saw or what next steps were. The nurses told us twice that he would be coming out to talk to us. We watched him walk by us at the hospital, run down the steps and out the door. Very unprofessional. We asked if another doctor would be in to give us the results and was told there wasn’t another GI doctor available and that he should call us at some point. I have never had a procedure in which the doctor did not discuss the outcome with us afterwords. The procedure took a little over 3 minutes- yet he couldn’t give us 3 minutes to review the results. I am sure we will be billed for a consultation and the procedure, yet there was not a consultation at all. My mom only spoke to him for a brief second before she was asleep.

Jury still out
I just had my first office visit with Dr. Manokas. We met in the hospital thanks to Dr. Karas. This doctor is kind and helpful. I’m just not sure about how helpful since I’ve been waiting for him to let me know what to do now that I’m finished with the meds he said should take care of my issue, but I still have the issue. I spoke to his staff on Monday. On Wednesday I found the message he was sent was inaccurate, so I sent him a new one with accurate information about me. So I wait in pain

Exceptionally detail oriented - I believe I am alive because of his attention during my colonoscopy. Referred to surgeon and had 1/2 of colon removed 3 weeks after colonoscopy.

Dr. Manokas is a great doctor. He gives the patient careful care and takes time to answer all questions. His assistant who handles problems with prescriptions, Kneeshi, is outstanding. She handles every problem immediately, returns calls promptly, and is always so helpful with the insurance company. I appreciate such good service.
