A rare find these days in a doctor....
Dr. Porter was helpful to me for my daughter in care at Valeo in Topeka. He saved her life by finding the only medication that worked for her after many years on something else. To me - and to her - he hangs the moon. We still stay in touch from elsewhere. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Porter - he is that rarity of a smart, caring, dedicated doctor AND human being.

Today, I had my first appointment with Dr. Taylor Porter. I have been searching for a good psychiatrist for a couple of years now. I tried a couple via Video conferences in the past with other new Doctors without any luck. I am vaccinated (from COVID) and was lucky to see Dr. Porter in person. I needed this visit to be in person, to assess if I really thought he was good for me. I was very pleased to know that he was very attentive and actually listened to what was bothering me. I had to fill out lengthy information online prior to my appointment but was very glad I did so, as it helped give Dr. Porter some background of my history and medications. I have been to many Doctors in the past for my depression and anxiety. Dr. Porter is one of few who I am confident can help me back to a normal life. Dr. Porter is well informed on medications, natural remedies and treatment and seems to go straight to the root cause of my condition. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor Porter!!!

My experience with Dr Porter was many moons ago when I was a patient of his at Valeo Behavioral health in Topeka and he put me on Depakote medicine I took it for 16 years, I no longer take it, it caused fatty tissue on my liver but no cancer, soon I will be going to a liver specialist and I'll post back what I find out. I'm happy it's not cancer!! But I just wanted to give you my little story after all these years, it's been over about 15 yrs and you were a very nice doctor! How's Kansas? I'm out here in AZ. Take care!!!

Dr. Porter is literally the BEST Psychiatrist I've ever seen, and I've been seeing Psychiatrists for over 30 years. He's kind, caring and thorough. What more can you ask for? ??
