Dr. Ted Schwartzenfeld, DO

Dr. Ted Schwartzenfeld has to be in his late 80s at least. I would never judge a person by their age but it's relevant to the horror I experienced with this Doctor. I went in for muffled hearing in my right ear due to impacted wax. Dr. Schwartzenfeld decided to clean the wax, which did unblock my right ear, but he was just jamming objects in there completely oblivious to the extreme pain he was causing me. I expressed this pain "ow this hurts stop" but he kept going. I should have forced him to stop but part of me was sure "a doctor can't just be carelessly hurting me right?" well now in my left ear, WHICH WAS FINE WHEN I WENT IN, the eardrum is definitely perforated. I have that airplane pressure pain constantly, and anytime the pressure changes in my head, I yawn or burp or sneeze, I get painful popping in that ear. I'm sure Dr. Schwartzenfeld has helped countless people over his long medical career, but in 2021 I wish I had gone to any other ENT, or none.

I went to see an ENT specialist due to having sinuses problems for a few months now. Additionally, I have been having cough, sore throat and plugged nose for a week, so I thought I could get that treated too. I had an early AM appointment with Dr. Schwarzenfelf. It took me about 1 hour waiting, about 30 minutes in the patient room, to see the doctor. He apologized, and I am fairly tolerant of doctor's lateness, so it was not a big deal for me. However, the Dr. stayed less than 3 minutes with me. He read my symptoms descriptions which he did not seem to understand. I repeated them, and I "think" he understood. He said he would need a CT Scan of my sinuses to really understand what was going on chronically, but in the meantime he'd prescribe me something to help with my current sicky state. He did not tell me what he prescribed, and he had his back to me the whole time he was talking, and I don't know why but I didn't ask what he prescribed (assuming it would be the classic stuff). I arrived at my appointment on time but waited an hour to see the doctor. I have had a problem with my ear since October and was hoping that going to an ENT would get me some relief. He asked if I had a problem hearing and I said no but he had me take a hearing test anyway?! When the test came back fine he said I now need a CT scan of my sinuses. He said nothing was wrong with my ear! I do not recommend Dr Schwartzenfeld. Not friendly, does not listen and wait time is ridiculous!!

I made an appointment for my extreme nasal congestion, when I arrived on time, I had to wait an hour to be seen! He come in the room, looks up my nose, and said I need a cat scan. He didn't seem concerned at all, and wouldn't answer any of my questions. Trust me, do not see this ol geezer of a doctor, it will be the worst experience you'll ever have. The office is totally unprofessional. This place gives medical professionals a very bad rep.DO NOT SEE THIS LUNATIC DOCTOR! read his reviews!!!!!!!

Dr schwartzenfeld is the worst Doctor and too old school to be practicing medicine. Even with a cat scan he misdiagnosed me. Told me to take sudafed and use Afrin and see him in two weeks. I actually required surgery for a nasal spur clearly seen on the scan he isn't qualified to read. Beyond the misdiagnosis the staff is incredibly rude the office is outdated and wait times ate ridiculous. Stay away!

I called & made an appointment to have food allergy testing. I get there for the appointment, & the doctor asks me what I am there for. I said food allergy testing. He said that he'd make an appointment for that. I was already there for an appointment for that! Then, I had to wait a month for the appointment. I get there. They stick a bunch of needles in me and then say they're doing outdoor allergy tests on me. I said, No, you're doing food allergy tests on me. They said they don't do that

Waste of time, he dismissed my condition which was diagnosed and treated immediately by another ENT. He didn't even read my CAT scan. Very rude. Time to retire.

I will never come to this doctors office again. I came on time. First time going there than they told me i had to reschedule because i was wearing body spray!. No one informed me of not being able to wear perfume or body spray prior to the visit. The girl at the desk was very rude.

I went in with severe tonsil stones that I have to push out almost monthly. Dr. S barely examined me, had no interest in what I had to say, didn't offer any course of treatment, and sent me home. I'm seeking a second opinion.
