Dr. Ted Zollman, MD

After moving to Seattle a few years ago, it's been challenging establishing new health care providers. My first appointment with Dr. Zollman yesterday was very positive. I previously tried another doctor who seemed unfamiliar with my macular issue, and who did not have the equipment to monitor it. Dr. Zollman was well-informed, communicated well, and wasn't rushed with me. He was frank and helpful about my options. The staff was also friendly. I'm delighted to have found great eye care and highly recommend this office.

I've got lots of eye problems, and when I turned 50 I developed glaucoma too. My eye care transitioned within the Eye Associates NW office from Dr. Brant Carroll (also very good) to Dr. Ted Zollman who specializes in glaucoma. I go in every 4 months for a check. Dr Zollman and the staff are friendly and take the time to answer my questions. My appointments are almost always on time and I never feel rushed. They are monitoring my condition with multiple, state-of-the art technologies. I've been going to that practice since I moved to Seattle in 2004 and have always felt that I've been in good hands (In addition to monitoring my glaucoma I've had cataract surgery with lens implant and SLT laser procedures). Highly recommend!

Dr. Zollman is one of the best healthcare professionals I’ve ever gone to. He is profoundly patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. I would recommend his practice to anyone.

I've been to many optometrists and ophthalmologists in my lifetime and Dr. Zollman is the very best. He has great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about the specialty. I felt welcome and well taken care of at his office. Would highly recommend!

Staff are courteous, professional and helpfull. Dr Zollman is very thorough in explaining the results and listened to my questions and concern deligently and answer and explained that I can understand.

Beware: Your time is not important to this practice. My husband and I made consecutive check-up appointments with Dr. Zollman – very routine. Before the exam date, my husband received a call confirming his own appointment and insurance and I received my own. When we arrived for our appointments, we were told that his appointment didn't exist (though already confirmed) and that another person was booked into his time slot with Dr. Zollman. They were “sorry” and offered to “squeeze him in” if Dr. Zollman was willing, though that would mean a considerable wait beyond the original appointment. My husband was treated as though he was asking for a last-minute appointment off the street, not as though reception had bumped him to accommodate another patient (who should be ashamed of her own entitlement in asking for another patient to be bumped). Seething, I checked into my appointment and waited... and waited. 30 minutes later and unseen, we left the office -- will look for a new doctor.

Told by Optometrist that I needed glaucoma screen with specific instructions; 'Narrow Angle. Please evaluate and dilate if safe'. Made appt. with Dr. Ted M. Zollman @ 1455 NW Leary Wy., Seattle. After long wait was met by woman who then gave me a number of tests and procedure's I was not familiar with. Turns out that assistant did indeed dilate my eye's and that instantly exposed me to 'acute angle closure crisis' which is extremely dangerous and can take away your vision. When finally Dr. Ted Zollman made appearance he told me basically what I already knew from eye exam Doc and I finally had to ask him about the reason I came for, to check narrow angle concern. He sheepishly stated that due to his lack of leadership and the incompetence of his staff he put me in great danger by having me dilated and that he couldn't check angle while dilated. He seems all about maximizing his profit potential by delegating his work to unqualified staff. This man is a dangerously incompetent & greedy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zollman for over 20 years. I have never felt like he gave me less than 100% affirmative care. Special problems were dealt with, with extra knowledgeable expertise obtained by him from others in his field. He is always professional, friendly and very caring for the conditions of his patients. I've been a patient of Dr. Zollman's for 7 or 8 years, initially for routine eye screenings and then for an acute problem. While I've had eye doctors since I was a teenager, Dr, Zollman is the first one who I actually look forward to seeing, He's incredibly knowledgeable and always discusses the details of a problem or treatment with me. In an exam room, I feel like he's as approachable and thoughtful as a good friend might be. I can't imagine a better opthalmologist.
