Gaslighting Doctor
If you have the misfortune of being seen by Dr. Teresa Raya in the ER, please know from the outset that it’s HER, it’s NOT you. I don’t know who hurt her in medical school and ripped out what was supposed to be a heart, but she is dismissive, condescending, and has the bedside manner of a porcupine in defense mode. She minimized the symptoms I had been struggling with for a month, padded her visit notes with my medical history but forgot to add the subtext she hinted at — “hysterical.” She didn’t listen (as evidenced by her inaccurate post-visit notes, and wrote my complaints in “quotation marks” so as to further discredit me. She’s a misfortune to Medicine and I’m sorry you had to be victimized by her and are now looking for reviews to validate your experience. It’s not you; it’s her.
