Dr. Teri Schwarz, MD

I have never had issues with a doctor’s office staff. I know it’s an incredibly demanding job, but all my other doctors have kind, compassionate staff that work the front desk. Except Dr. Schwartz. There is especially one woman who has been there for a while that talks to patients like we’re less than. I genuinely believe after many times dealing with this woman that she treats Dr. Schwartz’s patients like this because she knows we have mental illness. And she thinks we are incompetent and dumb. Other patients have complained but nothing has been done. My friend called me in tears after dealing with this woman. And I have been belittled, gaslit and inappropriately lectured by this secretary before as well. We aren’t deserving of the patronizing and belittling behavior just because we have mental illness. I can’t believe this woman still works there after all the complaints.

Consistently prompt, professional, and personable. I have a great deal of confidence in Dr Schwarz and would refer others to her.

I used to go to this place quite often and I have recommended a few people there. It seems this place has declined drastically. When you call, expect for someone to answer and put you on hold immediately. I waited on hold for 10 minutes before hanging up and calling back. When I called back, the call forwarded to voicemail. When I called back a 3rd time, I waited for another 12 minutes before someone picked back up. I had an appointment balance of $30 due. Due to the hurricane, I was out of work and power and lost all of my food as others did. They refuse to send my prescription because I have not paid the $30. I called now to pay that and get my prescription for the last time for this horrible place. I do not recommend this place if you are using a medication that is on the more serious side as they will hold it hostage if you have even a balance of one dollar due. The most inconsiderate and non-compassionate people I've ever experienced in a doctors professional office. They don't act as though they care about the people going to them for help. People's lives are a mess and they need help. These people just turn their back on you if you make a mistake such as missing an appointment. They'll refuse to reschedule you and you'll have to wait another month or two to get in to see a different doctor.

Dr. Schwarz makes you feel confident and her friendliness and her personality is catching. She listens and engages with you like she has known you a long time. I recommend her with a glowing five stars*****

Called to make an appointment was told had to make an appointment for paperwork. Called to reschedule that appointment was put on hold for over 5 minutes. Called the next day to reschedule and was told no call no show for paperwork and you aren't allowed back. Explained that I was never given this information. Girl was rude and completely unapologetic of situation. Then SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Called back and was told to seek another doctor. SERIOUSLY?! WORST OFFICE STAFF EVER!!

I would rather have a root canal than ever see this doctor again. She prescribed medication that caused me to gain 35 pounds and never counseled me about it, nor did she offer any instruction on weight management. I'm off meds now and hope never to see another psychiatrist as long as I live.

This review is for the staff and practices of the front desk. Dr. Schwarz seemed like an adequate doctor, she listened well at our first appointment then I felt rushed and not heard after that. This office though is the worst doctor's office I have ever been to. I signed an agreement that there would be a $15 fee if you didn't get a prescription while having a doctor's appointment. Ok, sounds fair. What was not explained is that the doctor writes one month prescription at a time with NO refill

Dr Schwarz has been taking care of my medical condition.

I've began seeing Dr. Schwarz upon returning to the area. She is not the type of psychiatrist that will give you medications that YOU think you need. She has a remarkable insight . And if she does decide to prescribe narcotic meds , she makes sure that you have a good family support system.

I would rather pay inflated out network rates than return to Dr.Teri Schwarz. Every 3 months the appt is 1 minute of eye contact, followed by 14 minutes of staring down writing a prescription while making empty small talk. Her professionalism is okay if you are only there for the 1/14 split format she calls an appointment. If you need her to return your call, its a few days, but when she does she will not hesite to leave professionalism out of the convo. Office staff is equily as horrible & rude
