Dr. Terrence Holekamp, MD

This was the worst visit with a physician/neurosurgeon I have ever experienced. I was made to feel stupid and insulted. He stated that to improve my condition, all I needed to do was lose weight and quit smoking. Which are both things that I agree would definitely be beneficial. However, just over a year ago he had scheduled me for surgery, that my insurance denied. He had no concerns for my pain and or quality of life. I left the office with tears in my eyes.

Was not a pleasant visit. Dr. Holekamp was arrogant, condescending and rude.

Dr. Holekamp takes the time to listen. He explains the results of diagnostic tests and answers questions in an understandable way. He performed two fusions on me early this year. As a result, I am now off prescription pain pills for the first time in eleven years. I am very fortunate and thankful. He’s the best!

Dr. Holekamp was very helpful about the explanation of my neck disc replacement. His choice of words and his mannerisms really set my mind at more of an ease. I'm not going to lie, I was still nervous after my initial appointment. On the morning of my surgery, Dr. Holekamp's team was super supportive, knowledgeable, and courteous. If you are in need of neck or back surgery, you should call Dr. Holekamp's office and meet with him. I cannot thank Dr. H enough for relieving my pain and giving me back my "normal" feeling life.

Explained my condition and need for surgery, well. Reviewed images with me. Thoroughly explained pluses, minuses and potential, and known complications of surgery. Very detail oriented. Easy to talk to.

The doctor was very knowledgeable about my daughter's condition. He explained things thoroughly and in a way we could both understand.

Dr. Holekamp a d his staff made me feel comfortable throughout my entire procedure. He was incredibly nice and straight forward.

The purpose of this office consult was to review the results of a nerve conductivity study and other tests. Dr Holekamp was very thorough in the review, and went into detail on the various treatment options available to me. I am very satisfied with every thing about this visit.

He left the room on several phone calls which I understood the first time but the 2nd and third got annoying. He never look at images and only listened to part of what I was saying. Luckily another neurosurgeon helped me wonderfully at another hospital.

Spent more time that allowed for visit to make sure all our questions were answered. Very polite and knowledgeable.

He's kind and direct - cares about my well being.

Initially I was a little disappointed that Dr. Holekamp was called away at the last moment to surgery at the time of my follow-up appointment. However, Physician Assistant Allison Creswell was more than able to answer the list of questions with which I had armed myself and helped me insure my brace was optimally placed. I left the office very satisfied that my injuries were progressing as well as they can.

Dr. Holekamp was professional and took time to explain my options and helped me reach my decision for MIS.

Dr. Holekamp explains things very well and is a very good listener, which is greatly appreciated when as a patient you are going through something difficult. He is clearly knowledgeable and is not one to rush to surgery, instead using all of the tools at his disposal before making his decisions. Highly recommend.

Dr Holekamp. Is very conscientious and through . He reviewed associated risks, recovery and outcomes.We appreciated the extra time he and his staff took with us and would recommend him .

I felt Dr Holekamp was very knowledgeable on what will be best for me. This included his idea for other pain management treatment before my surgery gets scheduled. This combination will do more for me than the surgery alone! I look forward to significantly lesser pain than I have had in probably 30 years! I am already so happy and just starting this process!
