Very Thorough
Dr. Steele takes time to go through each of my diagnoses at each appointment to get an update on every one. She is very thorough and takes a lot of notes. She is rather no-nonsense and direct, which I really like. In my case she tends to prescribe conservatively rather than treating side effects with more pills, which is probably for the best. She does not push expensive pills or anything like that.

Does not care
Your appointment will consist of her staring at her computer screen while typing. If you are lucky she is halfway paying attention to you. She pushes new high cost medications that insurance will not cover. She does not offer telehealth care and does not return calls. Look else where for a caring physician!

Poor Patient Care
Dr. Steele is more focused on adhering to the practice’s rules than patient care. She focused most of her attention to her computer screen. I use GoodRx to find the best pharmaceutical cost for my non-controlled prescriptions. She said that I could only use one pharmacy. She does not always return calls.

Great Dr terrible office staff
The office staff where Dr Steele works are horrific. Very rude and hard to deal with. She needs to leave this location to better herself.

I have been a patient of Dr. Steele's at the Eastside Mental Health Center for several years now. We discuss my maintenance medications and other current problems I'm having at that time. She shows genuine concern for my issues, and her counseling is highly professional and experienced. I feel very fortunate to be under her care.

Dr. Steele is a very kind and caring Psychiatrist. She listens and spends time with you. Don't listen to anyone who says she is not. They are probably wanting benzo's and she doesn't prescribe those.

Dr. Steele is an amazing Dr. She is caring and very concerned about her clients. She listens and takes time with you. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. They are probably seeking benzo's and she does not prescribe them!

I have been to Dr. Steele and I would not recommend her to anyone. If you do not care about your psychological health, then she is for you. She only cares about herself! I have also talked of other people who have the same opinion. She comes up to the Health Dept in Oneonta. She needs to think about her oath that she took really hard!
