Worse surgeon ever was!
Went in for hernia and ended up being shipped to BSMC for a second surgery (emergency) for a knocked bladder. She let go of the cauterizing device and it burned a hole in my bladder! Negligence on her part. Don’t trust her!!

There's nobody better!
I have been to see Dr. Smit many times and there is nobody better! Dr. Smit has fixed many problems with several trigger fingers and hand problems.

Dr Smit was very gentle and very comforting to my son, with his injury. My wife and I were both extremely impressed and happy on how gentle and quickly she worked to keep my son as calm as possible. We couldn't have asked for better care.

What a Doctor should be like
Dr. Smit has helped me with several "trigger finger" problems in the past few years. She is compassionate and fantastic at pinpointing the exact source of the problem. She is the perfect example of the kind of doctor everyone wants but few get the good fortune to have.

Deserves 10 stars
Dr. Smit is always prompt with appointments staying on time without making you feel rushed. She is compassionate and empathetic. She conveys trust and knowledge and competency in her field. Dr. Smit takes the time to answers all your questions. We need more doctors like her. I have and I’ll continue to highly recommend Dr. Smit!

I would highly recommend Dr. Smit (and already have). I went to the emergency room after injuring my hands and was referred to Dr. Smit for a follow up. I made an appointment and was seen quickly first thing the next morning. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes time to answer all questions. Over the past several years I have seen a number of doctors. I know how frustrating it can be to even get an appointment, be kept waiting, and to seek help but instead be the recipient of contempt. Dr. Smit is none of these things, and I feel that other patients will find her helpful as well.
