Dr. Thang Nguyen, MD

I had to have emergency surgery and Dr. Thang Nguyen was very open and honest and explained everything!In the hospital afterwards, he came to see me frequently to make sure I was OK and answer any other questions! His bedside manner was very nice and was always very positive!

Had an emergency Gall Bladder surgery. Dr. Thang Nguyen diagnosed me in the am and by 1000 pm the surgery was completed. I had discomfort but zero pain. I took a pain injection in the recovery room, but probably could have done without it. I was in my room by midnight, and had no pain at all. Probably could have left that night but it was too late. A week later I am eating lightly again, and no pain or nausea. I never took another pain medication after the recovery room. It is like it never happened!

Best Dr. EVER! I am so grateful to have found him. Not only did he save my life during a recent emergency situation, he treated me with dignity and respect. On top of that, his staff is always eager to go the extra mile. So rare and so appreciated! THANK YOU!

best dr i have ever met !! i wish he could be my general md ! he was kind , intuitive , and made me feel like i was the only person he was caring for !! i have had stomach issues for many years and i would go to the er and they would give me malox and send me home - this last time .. dr n came along and said it’s your gallbladder! for 8 years i had a cyst on my pancreas and no one addressed it - he was the only one that said why is it there - he said i believe if you remove the gallbladder the cyst will go away in 6 months - it’s only been a month and the cyst already decreased in size !! he’s amazing ! and i eat what ever o want now !! the stars were aligned that night he walked into my room and i’m thankful he did

My experience with Dr. Nguyen was very good. I recovered quickly and with no complications from the cholecystectomy he performed. He appears to be a caring physician. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Terrible bedside manner and communication skills. Has zero regard for patients and their family members. Run, don’t walk away from this doctor. Ask for another surgeon if he’s the one on call.

I had to have emergency gallbladder removal. Dr. Nguyen made me feel at ease with surgery, since this was my first surgery ever at 53. He explained everything in detail, and made me comfortable knowing I was in great hands for surgery. I strongly recommend this doctor. He also has a great personality and very knowledgeable. Dr Nguyen performed emergency surgery on me in May 2020. He saved my life, and he has been very involved in my care both before and since. He’s the best patient advocate out there. I highly recommend him to all prospective patients. His RN Huong is great too!

Dr Nguyen is an excellent surgeon. He literally saved my life by performing a very complicated procedure to remove infection from Pseudocyst and Abscess. He was very caring, informed us about the situation clearly, and followed up daily. I am very grateful. M Malaty

My husband had a very extensive whipple surgery for a pancreatic tumor. This doctor was amazing! He spent so much time explaining everything and saw my husband several times a day post surgery. He was so kind and understanding and I think the best doctor I have ever met. The follow up appointments have been wonderful. He is so patient and has the best bedside manner.

stay away from this so called doctor - very poor bedside manner and no respect to patient. His poor skills resulted in a second surgery done by another more experience doctor,

I was desperately seeking a surgeon to help me w/hernia mesh removal. I had done extensive research & found a specialist at UCLA that was so highly regarded that people were traveling from all over the country to have surgery with him. My insurance wasn't accepted & I was so disappointed. I kept searching and found Dr. Nguyen. The reviews I read here helped me to decide on going to see him. So glad I did. He gave me my life back!! A phenomenal surgeon w/warmth & compassion! I'm forever grateful.

This doctor is amazing! He was on-call for emergency room surgeries and we luckily got hime! my huby had emergency gallbladder surgery, but my husband wasn't doing well in recovery and next day. If it wasn't for Dr Nguyen searching further, and sending my husband home, I may have lost him. He acquired multiple pulmonary embolisms - blodd clots. He took the time to order oxygen-gas tests, xray and CT of lungs, Pulmonary doc and blood thinners. He never left his aid for 3 days. Saved his life 3

I took my husband for a consult yesterday and was very please how he took the time to explain the procedure. he shows great concern for his patients, I love the staff, very friendly and helpful.
