Thank you, Dr. Thanh Nguyen, for saving my life
How do you provide a rating for a Dr. that saves your life? There simply are not enough stars to demonstrate my gratitude to Dr. Thanh Nguyen for saving my life. Dr. Nyugen discovered the ruptured aneurysm that was repaired at a different hospital was growing again! I am not versed in medical jargon but suffice to say my aneurysm surgery was very complex. Dr. Nyugen explained her plan to repair my aneurysm with unwavering professionalism and patience. I am so incredibly fortunate, lucky, thankful, and indebted to Dr. Nyugen for fixing my brain!

The best of the best
In August of 2022, Dr. Nguyen performed surgery on my husband after he suffered a stroke. She saved his life. She visited him while he was still in BMC, she, & the whole team were amazed on how well he was progressing after what he suffered and with the surgery being so successful. My husband had a follow-up appointment with the doctor 3 months after the surgery. She is so compassionate and takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains everything in a way which is very clearly understood.

In October of 2021, while doing nothing more than working at my computer, I experienced an instantaneous head pain worse than anything I had previously. A trip to the emergency room, and imaging of my brain, confirmed a serious head bleed requiring that I be transported to Boston Medical Center. Under the care of Dr. Thanh Nguyen and her surgical team, I underwent a 5-hour operation followed by 4 days of ICU recovery. Dr. Nguyen’s intervention directly resulted in the life that I continue to enjoy today; one that is completely normal, free of headaches, no loss of any motor skill, no speech issues, and no memory loss. During my stay at Boston Medical Center Dr. Nguyen and the ICU team were friendly, knowledgeable, and readily available to answer questions my family members had and to provide timely progress reports. In my book Dr. Nguyen is a miracle worker and the best in her field.

Early morning on dec 21, 2020 i had a stroke. Arrived by EMS at Bmc operated on by dr Thanh Nguyen. The outcome of the stroke could have been much worse for me, i believe, if it weren't for the talent & dedication of dr nguyen & her team. Surgery and aftercare has been wonderful w/ Dr nguyen & nicole, both by phone & in person.

Best Dr. & person. An angel
Dr. Nguyen is the best Neurologist doctor! She is extremely skilled and saved my husband Tom's life. She again performed brain aneurysm surgery on Sept. 2021. Dr. Nguyen is so compassionate and kind. 5 years ago she saved my husband by coiling his huge brain aneurysm that could of burst & killed him. We thank God and Dr. Thanh Nguyen for saving Tom and the countless others they saved! I believe she is an angel . Life is so precious. May of last year I had a stroke, I arrived at the hospital (Boston Medical Center) extremely ill, and my case worsened because the clots in my head multiplied overnight, but with the grace of God and with the excellent work of Dr. Nguyen, and her team, the story of my life did not end that day. So I just have to thank God, and Dr Nguyen.

I was a patient of Dr. Thanh Nguyen, MD last year after having a burst aneurysm. I was lucky to get such an amazing group of neurology specialists at Boston Medical Center. I arrived late at night and was prepped for surgery the very next morning. She asked me if I had any questions or concerns and I started talking about how my mom was nervous not getting to be there and she took down my mother’s number and called her before and after the surgery. Cannot thank her enough. This happened pretty much in the beginning of COVID so no family members could visit. So the Doctors would visit me often to check on me and my progress. Dr. Nguyen was one of the doctors that explained everything so clearly. This was a major surgery and they handled it incredibly. Which I am thankful. I am so thankful and grateful to be here today and thanks to Dr. Thanh Nguyen and team for making it possible. I have recovered well and I am back at work and regular activities as well.

When I found out about my brain aneurysm, I was two weeks postpartum, and so scared. I met Dr. Nguyen and she made me feel very safe. She’s warm and kind but also so smart and self assured. That made me feel extremely confident and taken care of. My procedure went great. Now I get to be a mom without that fear hanging over me! I can’t say enough about how positive the treatment I received was. Thank you!!

On March 3, 2020 I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and was treated immediately in the emergency room. I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and had multiple surgeries that were successful . I owe an immense gratitude to the doctors and staff members who took care of me for the 3 weeks I was in the ICU. I owe a huge thank you to my surgeon Dr. Thanh Nguyen. I want to say thank you so much for the difference she made in my life. She was kind, sincerely caring, and her concern made everything better. She was a great encouragement. Thank you for being so skilled at what you do. I also would like to thank the nurses and staff for taking care of me and being so attentive to my needs at such a hard time. There are not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful Dr.Nguyen is in every way. The emergency surgery she performed on me took me from complete paralysis on my right side and complete lack of speech to amazing recovery in one week. She is extremely knowledgeable,compassionate,and willing to answer and explain any question or issue you may have. She is absolutely and always with and there for you 100%. Her enthusiasm and kindness are contagious and you leave any encounter with her feeling positive,calm,and ready to take on the world. She is a true professional whose main focus is always on you the person and how she can make your life better. Her expertise,knowledge and skill saved my life. Her kindness and compassion make the world a better place for us all.

If I didn't come to Boston Medical Center, my son may not have made it. Dr. Nguyen cared for my son, and helped him move on in the setting of a stroke. She retrieved his clot. He is doing great, and now is walking, and his speech is improving.

In an emergency situation you don't have a lot of choice in picking a physician or medical team. Dr. Nguyen was assigned to me...her knowledge, professionalism and bedside manner left me feeling grateful I was a recipient of her care. There is not a single time, whether in the hospital or follow-up visits that I could have asked for any better care.

Dr. Nguyen is a wonderful person who has decided to dedicate her life to sciences with her very evident passion for the field of study in Nerology. I have experienced the art of her trade by how tenderly she cared for my 88 year old mother who had recently had a few strokes that left her paralyzed on the right side of her body. Through a thourough battery of testing and the efforts of Dr. Nguyen and her team, we have and still continue enjoy life with Ma.

Although people continue to say I did a great job healing, the truth is, my surgical team saved my life. I suffered an abnormally large aneurysm rupture, and this team treated me amazingly well from start to finish. As well - they have involved me in decision making and my overall diagonis/prognosis every step of the way.
