Usually, doctors spend most of the visit looking at their records, and I end up talking to the nurse most of the time. Dr. Liyanarachchi listens closely and will order tests if she thinks more information is needed.

I was having symptoms of cellulitis in the area of my left wrist. I have had this in the same area 10 years ago. Dr. Liyanarachchi was able to diagnosis it over the phone and quickly order a prescription of keflex to be picked up at the pharmacy near me in Factoria. I am very grateful for the fact that she listens to her patients and acted promptly, which is so important with cellulitis.

Dr. Liyanarachchi was not a good fit for me as an overweight woman. Her solution was “lose weight,” but she did not feel it was necessary to investigate the cause of the fairly rapid weight gain. Additionally, she seemed surprised that someone overweight could have normal blood pressure, pulse, and (most) lab work. If you’re a thin, healthy person just needing an annual exam, I feel like she’s probably fine. Additionally, the nurse that called for a follow-up had a poor attitude and gave me a hard time when I told her I’d be transferring care to another provider.

Dr. Liyanarachchi sat down with me and went through all of my medications as I requested, and not only did she give me her advice on how to proceed with my medications in the future, but she also asked me caring questions about my health issues, about how they developed, and what could possibly help. I know that it seems like any doctor should do that, but I've been to countless practitioners in the past few years who ask me a few simple questions, tell me to try a new medication, write a prescription, and then tell me that we're all done. She was thorough, compassionate, and even brought up issues that no one had cared to, or thought to, mention before, and was able to recommend something for that too! I felt very taken care of. I will definitely be back to her if at all possible.
