My husband had two needle biopsies of a tumor on his pancreas, about a year apart and in both Dr. Durbin was not able to find any cancer cells. After the first test they treated him for autoimmune pancreatitis for eight weeks. After another CT scan and a needle biopsy by another doctor, which DID find cancer cells, they said he had pancreatic cancer and now had to do chemo instead of a surgery that could have extended his life for five more years. A year later Dr. Durbin did another test so we could get DNA for a clinical trial and again he failed to harvest any cancer cells from the tumor. We were told this guy was good, but from our experience he's been a failure twice.

I was scared to death to have this biopsy with the camera going down my throat . . . Until I met Dr. Durbin who visited me prior to and after procedure. He has a gentle and kind bedside manner assuring me that my scans don't look so bad and explained why and how he was going tp procede. After, he assured me that things looked good, and not to worry over the long holiday weekend. What an A-1 class act guy! I got lucky! Thank you, Dr. Durbin! Linda Angelina Cimmarrusti
