Did not do bloodwork
Dr Korty only ran one blood test on me when I had a lot of symptoms. He basically said nothing was wrong with me and sent me on my way. I went for a second opinion and my disease activity was through the roof. My disease progressed while waiting to get into another rheumatologist and I have permanent damage that could have been avoided if he actually listened. My new Dr was appalled at the lack of care I received.

Almost retired.
I have read the other reviews and I understand the folks who were bothered about an apparent lack of concern or dry demeanor, he is quiet and contemplative but that does not mean he is uncaring or apathetic. I believe Dr. Korty looks to the science, he is looking for criteria, evidence of disease, and is trying help his patients. I have experienced good outcomes with infusion treatments. Last year I was in misery and this year I am back to normal. So happy to have Dr. Korty as my rheumatologist.

Awful experience
I don't think I've ever rated a doctor until now. I've been treated inadequately by doctors in the past, but never this blatantly. His condescending tone was only made worse because he obviously didn't want to be there. I walked away, near tears, thinking he was having a bad day and that is why I was treated the way I had been. I then looked up reviews and realized, this seems to just be who he is. Possibly, if you are a 'text book' or easy case he is better.

This recent visit ( even all other visits) was a horrible experience to say the least. I will be contacting my pcp to find a different specialist. I’d rather go to Fort Wayne and find a doctor who specializes in what Dr. Korty does. Every visit would always be his horrible bed side manner with no determining results. I’m done and have had enough. 100% don’t recommend him as you specilists. Save your time and money. Look elsewhere.

Takes no interest in older adults with arthritis
I brought my mother to him since she is dealing with severe osteoarthritis pain. She is over 65. He took no interest in helping her, and "prescribed" an OTC cream that isn't even approved for the joints that hurt her most. Our final visit ended with him telling us, "Well, I don't need to see you anymore, so good luck with everything." My mother cried on the way home. I don't often write reviews for doctors, but this man's bedside manner, or lack thereof, is appalling. If you're dealing with arthritis pain, and are over 65, I suggest you look elsewhere for a doctor. He seems to have little to no interest in helping older adults.

Very caring and observant...ordered more tests to delve into my problems more. Quiet, but asked thorough questions!

Terrible. Korty had terrible bedside manner, barely said a word. Zero personality. He had absolutely no idea what could possibly be wrong... ordered tests I didn’t need or want. Not to mention his phone text notification was going off the entire time. Didn’t bother to turn it off. Angry I had to even pay my copay for this worthless visit. Go to another doctor!

I’d rate this doctor 0 stars if I could. Terrible bedside manner, little personality, and not a good communicator. All of this can be overlooked in a knowledgeable doctor who is willing to stop at nothing to get to the root of the problem, but that is not the case with Dr. Korty. He didn’t listen to my concerns or those of my referring physician, tested me for things that had already been ruled out, didn’t allow me to ask questions, and didn’t listen to my answers to his questions (or interrupted me). When ordering an MRI, he would not tell me what it is he was looking for, and even when going over the results of the MRI, just said, “I didn’t find what I was looking for.” He seems to be unable to figure out anything that isn’t textbook, and was disinterested in finding an explanation for my debilitating pain or the autoimmune disorder found by 2 other doctors, which led to my referral. He basically told me there was nothing wrong because the bloodwork and MRI didn’t show him what he w
