Dr. Theodore Schock, DO

My husband and have been with Dr. Schock for a number of years now and are very happy with him. He recently went to a direct primary care model (see their website for details) and we have no complaints. He is kind and understands when a patient doesn't want to use a specific course of treatment and recommends alternatives. His wife Heidi, who is the office manager, has been nothing but nice and professional to us over the years. They answer emails quickly. We can get into see the doctor quickly, often the same day if needed. They get prescriptions called in and taken care of. HIs nurse, Jan, is super friendly and caring and I'm so happy she remained with the office when they did the changeover to direct care. Jan is also fantastic at taking blood. I never bruise when she does it!

Theodore Shock is experienced doctor. If necessary He will refer to another Doctor.

The staff are very nice and friendly, the Dr. is very courteous and knowledgeable, he takes his time to go over everything that may be bothering the patient. I can’t recommend Dr. Shock enough.

I have been with Dr. Schock more years than I can remember. He is a kind and conservative Dr. and visits may have a start time but Dr. Schock takes whatever time is needed for both of us to understand and determine treatment. Due to insurance changes I have to find a new doctor. I can only offer him my best wishes and will miss him immensely. There is no better doctor in his field.

It is unfortunate that I must give this review because I liked Dr. Schock. He has been my primary doctor for about 5-6 years. I have seen negative reviews online regarding his staff/office manager Heidi but never thought much about it because all she does is take my appointments. I now understand the negative reviews. This must be one of the worst office managers for a doctor I have ever seen.

I've been a patient of Dr. Schock since 2014. He completely understands my condition and makes it clear that certain steps need to be followed for progressive treatment. It's nice to know that I have a doctor who knows me and spends the time to emphasize the importance of being a responsible patient by following his treatment plans and communicating regularly. He will do whatever I need him to do, but I'm the one that has to execute.

I was a patient of Dr Schock. I changed insurance and had to change doctors. My insurance changed again and I went back to Dr Schock. I didn't have my new card when I scheduled my first appointment. When I called a couple weeks later to give my insurance information, I was rudely told that the Dr would not see me because I didn't give my insurance info soon enough. My opinion of this Dr and his staff crashed and burned with how rudely I was treated and how quickly I was dismissed.

The doctor and his office is run by his staff who all have bad attitudes. They do not regard privacy of patients as regards to talking about the patient among them selves. If you miss an appointment you could be at risk of being dropped from the doctors treatment.

Incredibly kind and thorough. Dr. Schock is an exceptional Doctor. He really cares about his patients and more importantly he listens to all of your concerns. He is open to suggestions and has none of the God complex that so many doctors are spouting. His staff is wonderful too.
