Dr. Theodore Tan, MD

I have been going to Delaware Primary Care since arriving in Delaware. The past few weeks have been very tough for me, but the staff have treated me so well, Dr Tan has been out of the office but I was able to see Hardi Patel who has been a life saver for me. She has reached out to Dr. Tan to help me thru this difficult time with my body going crazy...I cannot thank these folks enough with all the care and compassion they have shown me these past weeks. Huge Thank You.

Dr Tan is good, but the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Rec'd a call yesterday about a concern I expressed about side effects I was experiencing on the statin I am taking. Person on phone called twice and said she had emailed me the answer. I never rec'd the email (even checked my spam folder). When I called back, the person told me that she was going to call in a new prescription to my pharmacy, per my doctor's orders. When I called my pharmacy today to see if it was ready, no prescription was ever called in for me. Of course, yesterday was Friday and the office is closed today, so I guess I have to wait till Monday to get things squared away. There have been other things that occurred with the staff, but this is the worst.

I have been seeing dr Tan for a while now. He always explains everything so I can understand it. He takes his time and makes sure he answers all your questions before you leave

DR. Tan is very good but the front desk is rude and never answers the phone , also wont return calls when requested .

Today was my very first visit to Delaware Primary Care. I arrived early and greeted immediately. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful as well as knowledgeable. I especially liked that I was called into the patient room by Dr. Tan himself after only waiting maybe 5 minutes. Dr. Tan is a very laid back yet THOROUGH Doctor. I didn't feel rushed or intimidated at all. We went over everything in my chart from youth to now in detail! I definitely recommend this practice and Dr. Tan!

Dr. Tan is a straight forward Doc. I appreciate his direct candidness very much and how he answered my questions He is also very through when looking at medical issues. It is nice to go into a Doctor's office and not have to wait an hour after your appointment. Each visit I got in within 15 minutes or less. Well done! I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Tan is not my usual physician, but my doctor was on vacation. I had a DR follow-up and it was important for me to see someone right away. He came into the room immediately asking about something that I was not there to treat. When I tried to explain it to him he would cut me off. He then goes into to make false implications about me, as if he knew who I was. When I asked that we stick to the reason I was there he was rude said something offensive and then told me to see someone else.

dr. tan is very thorough. he went over my blood test results with me line by line, with detailed explanations and subsequent courses of action. he is personable, professional & proactive, and his staff has always been pleasant and extremely helpful.

Dr. TAN is excellent it is the Primary Care Staff that needs replacing. Waited over one hour to see him, only to find out the receptionist did not acknowledge me on the sign in sheet (I had to bring this to her attention). Told Dr. Tan. Then received a follow up appointment for Dec 28, 2016 for 1:30 PM. Arrived today Dec 28 at his Milford Office only to be told my appointment is for January 11th 2017. My appointment card shows Dec 28th.

Dr. Tan is very knowledgeable and thorough with explanations of disease processes and disorders. When he began working at Delaware Primary Care his bedside manners were awesome and I enjoyed my visits but since he has settled in at this facility, he comes off rude and callous during his examinations and seems to be checking you "off his list," it seems. The visits have become slightly unpleasant but at least he seems to be experienced and accurate in his assessments, which I appreciate.

Dr. Tan is very thorough and takes time out explaining everything so you can understand. He has a great bedside manner and will not give you medicine just to make you happy. He knows what it takes to maintain a healthy body and will push you to do what's important to reach your health goals. He also has a great personality and sense of humor.

Dr Tan treats my brother and he is incredible! He actually came out to the car to speak with him when we stopped to drop off papers. He is a fairly new patient and if it wasn't for Dr Tan sending him to a Gastroenterologist they wouldn't have found his cancer.
