Dr. Theresa Wang, MD

Dr. Wang and Dr. Shih completed a bilateral DIEP Flap due to my breast cancer. They told me I’d never need a bra and that my boobs (flaps) were perky and had cleavage. They lied. They attached my flaps too low. When trying to schedule phase 2 to see if they could fix it, they dropped me bc my insurance changed. I offered to pay out of pocket, and they said their office doesn’t do that. They then said they wouldn’t leave me hanging and would help me find a surgeon to complete phase 2. Another lie. They dropped me and left me hanging. I’ve had phase 2 completed by another ps, but he said that since Dr. Wang and Shih attached the flaps low, he couldn’t raise them. I’m being referred to specialists now and may require DIEP removed and implants done instead. Wang and office do not care. Aside from boobs, the remaining areas they touched make my body look deformed. I’m 46. I’m now lifelong in pain and deformed. I do not recommend this practice.

Dr Wang is awesome! She and Dr Shih performed my wife's double reconstruction DIEP flap. They're both extremely competent and confident in their skills. We've also found them to be warm and caring throughout the process. No procedure that complex can go without any complications, but they were informative and responsive to all of our concerns. Highly recommend Dr Wang and her team if you need them.

I did not visit but I called to schedule an appointment for a second opinion, the receptionist shut my interest. She rushed me with no empathy what so ever. rushing to help person on another call. Dr. Wang you might want to train your staff in customer service and showing empathy. she chased me away from seeing you.

I had a bilateral mastecomy with Diep flap. It was the worst experience of my life. Dr. Wang & her staff treated me terribly. I was sent home from the surgery after a 10 hour surgery, emergency 2nd surgery, then blood transfusion without pain meds, was forced to keep a drain in for 6 weeks, hung up on & insulted by the staff & it took 4 1/2 months for the wounds to heal from the incisions across my stomach. I am still suffering PTSD. Please do not go to this practice.

Dr Wang and Dr Shih recently performed a bilateral Diep Flap surgery for me. I am very pleased with the results and with the care I have received. They show compassion along with their exceptional skill. I feel blessed to have found them after a failed reconstruction with another surgeon.

Dr. Wang and Dr. Shih are amazing, caring and extremely qualified. My reconstruction was exceptionally well done and I am so grateful for everything. Other surgeons said no when I asked for the DIEP flap and would have closed me right up when faced with the amount of abdominal scar tissue I had. Dr. Wang gave me what I wanted and needed to feel like me again. They sit beautifully and feel just as they did before cancer. I truly love them and their staff. They were a prayer answered. AWESOME!!
