Very kind and informative!! Explained the procedure as he was doing each step and did a outstanding job!! You know how most Dr's seem to be in a rush and can be a bit none personal? Yeah, not this Dr. He was very personable and went over my procedure, explained my condition to me and answered all my questions!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Doctor Brooks is an awesome Doctor

Dr. Brooks has performed 3 or so procedures for me with always good results. He is very thorough, each step of the way and explains what you'll expect and experience as the procedure progresses each step of the way. I would highly recommend him as a top 10! Thank you again Doctor Brooks!

After quite a few years of lower back pain, Dr. Brooks got to the source quickly. Several shots later, I'm 80% better. I'm hoping the other 20% will be helped by exercises to strengthen my abdominals, which support the back.

I have used Dr. Brooks for back injections for 2 years. My conditions are not repairable, and with that in mind, Dr. Brooks gives me major pain relief with his injections. Some of the injections are almost painless, but none of them have been overly painful. My other Doctors know of his practice, and they all think highly of him. He also teaches at UNMC, passing his techniques and expertise on to new Doctors. No other pain management physician has given me the pain relief Dr. Brooks has.

Dr. Brooks is great! I have had sciatica nerve pain for 2 years and had been doing chiropractics, but not enough relief. I have a herniated disc and some degenerative joint disease in lower back. He tried 3 different injection sites and the 3rd one was in the right place. I am not cured but 80% better than when we started. The staff and Dr. Brooks are very friendly and caring. Dr Brooks has great "bedside manners." He is a good listener and truly cares about his patients.

I was suffering after surgery for bulging discs with extreme pain in my back, hip and leg because of an inability to take any opioid pain medications (previously misdiagnosed as an allergy to opioid pain medications). Dr. Brooks told it to me straight! He stated from the beginning that his goal was to get me pain free. He told me up front that it wasn’t going to happen in one treatment and he may not get me to 100% but he would get very, very close to the 100%. He performed a miracle by getting me to what I considered to be 100% pain free in six treatments. He also explained that I potentially could have a set-back where my pain might return after he eliminated my pain initially. In the event that my pain returned that I should contact him right away so the source of the pain could be eliminated. I can’t say enough good things about him when it comes to pain treatment. My only regret was that I didn’t go to him for my pain treatment sooner.

Dr Thomas Brooks has helped both my husband and I be able to live our lives with the least amount of pain possible. My husband had an HF10 unit put in his back and no longer has pain and numbness in his legs and feet. I have had injections done in my SI Joint and have substantially less pain so I am able to stand and do my job much easier. He truley has your best health interest at heart.

I had Dr. Brooks at his last location for chronic pain associated with a work related injury and he is great. He was with me for my spine stimulator and now for SI Joint pain. It only made sense to follow him to Innovative Pain and Spine. The office is clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend Dr. Brooks to all for spine and pain related issues.

I was disappointed on several levels of the lack of professionalism in the office. The unfriendly front desk clerk was the person tasked to have me sign consent instead of the doctor, who simply plopped the clipboard in front of me and asked me to “sign here” (with no explanation of risks by the MD regarding my procedure). I entered the procedure room and again was shocked when Dr Brooks did not offer a smile or greeting and instead was standing with crossed arms. I asked a question for clarification and he dismissed the question and instructed me to (lie down) “face down, half moon”. I was advised to have a ride home but no one followed up to see if I had a ride or was driving myself. I couldn’t leave the office quick enough and will not be retuning.

I was referred to Dr. Brooks for some chronic pain issues I am dealing with. He is awesome! He is sincere and very professional, easy to discuss issues with. I have referenced him to friends and family. If you want / need a top notch pain management doctor, go see Dr. Brooks.

I was referred to Innovative Pain, and chose Dr. Brooks after a friend highly recommended him. I first had injections. He explained exactly what was happening throughout the procedures. I next had a trial for the spinal cord stimulator and was pain free. The permanent was then placed. We are still seeking the best setting and Dr. Brooks continues to work with the reps to find my optimal pain relief. He is personable and the utmost professional!

Since my anterior posterior lumbar fusion in 2008 I have experienced crippling, agonizing pain. I was only 48 years old, and for 12 years pain has dictated my life, even with a narcotic. No neurosurgeon or other pain management physician has done what this wonderful human has for me!
