Wonderful with my 11 year old
Dr Byars was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we were able to see him. Everyone in the office was lovely and he was wonderful with my 11 year old. He made sure she h understood what was going on and she felt part of the plan.

Missed Patellar Fracture
Took my daughter to Dr Bayars after she hurt her knee running track. After evaluating her and her x-ray, he said she had a sprained patella tendon and should be good to start practicing the following week. Literally said “she had a clean bill of health” as we are leaving. 3 weeks later she was still in considerable pain when running more than 50%. Got a second opinion and turns out she had a stress fracture of her lower kneecap. The other Orthopedic showed me the x-ray taken at Dr Bayars office and I could see the fracture line along with the difference vs he other knee. Cost my daughter her Senior track season. Horrible.

The best.
Dr Byars is amazing. Both my girls have and are treated by him. Soccer, basketball and volleyball injuries. He’s personable, direct and not medical for medical sake. Do what is needed and what is right.

Dr. Byars was amazing with my 6 year daughter when she broke her arm. He explained to her the process so she was able to understand it. I highly recommend him. He had excellent bed side manners and we felt we were valued as patients. He took the time to speak with my daughter and did not rush us at all. She has healed 100 percent and is back to doing cartwheels!

I really like how Dr. Byars spoke with my son. He just turned 13 and is becoming less and less of a kid everyday. Dr. Byars made him feel like he was part of the conversation, and that he is responsible for his health. This is huge for kids, and something far too many doctors don't do. Kids are smart, and should be more involved the older they get. Love that the Dr. Byars recognizes this.

We had to see this doctor twice in one year for two very different situations. Dr. Byars accurately diagnosed the problem and provided the appropriate treatment both times. Dr. Byars is warm and friendly, and takes the time to explain things to you and your child. I highly recommend him.
