Dr. Thomas Carson, MD

Tom has cared for me for decades, and in the last decade, this meant 4 times a year or more if I became ill. He would call me if I needed him to. He delivered my baby at Mease Hospital. He has listened carefully, addressed options, and most importantly, he has empathetically quelled the 'scaredy-cat' in me. I live far away from his new practice. I don't care. If I can be a patient of Tom's, I will be.

I have been here for many years, staff friendly and Dris grand. Totally happy still.

My father was a patient at Dr. Carson's office for over 10 years. It was difficult to deal with the office staff before he sold the practice to Well-med and completely beyond horrible after he sold the practice. My father stayed with the practice because it was within walking distance from where he lived. I just moved him to Colorado because taking care of him long distance especially with dealing with this office was too much. 1. My father had labored breathing for over a year and Dr. Carson just said "see the cardiologist." 2. Prior to Dr. Carson selling his practice, my father would have all of his blood work for his different doctors, done at one time because it is difficult to get blood from him. After the practice was sold, they refused to do so. I flew in to Florida from Colorado for one of his appointments. After speaking with Dr. Carson, he agreed that my father should have all of his blood work done at one time. After Dr. Carson left the room, Liz the office mgr came into the room and told us "Dr. Carson does not have the authority to say that, he doesn't own the practice anymore." After I said that I am not leaving the office until Dr. Carson comes back and tells me that himself, she left the room and came back 10 minutes later with an attitude and said they would make the exception. 3. One of the nurses on a phone call told me my father had stage 3 kidney disease and that dialysis would not be an option because car service would cost too much. 4. When I asked a social worker associated with well med for suggestions for help for my father, she said we should get him the robot carpet cleaner - really? My father would trip over it in no time and carpet cleaners don't change bed sheets etc. 5. When you call the office, if you get a live person in under 10 minutes - play lottery. 6. The only descent human being in that office is Jennifer Rappleyea. She follows up with issues and does what she says she is going to do. 7. Liz the office mgr does not care about the patients, and she has no human compassion.

Takes time, examines, goes over blood work with you. Very kind, even funny sometimes. Listens to your concerns. Never feels rushed. Total trust.

Dr.Carson is our family doctor. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. We have the utmost confidence in him and his staff to care for our medical needs.

I have been going to this practice for about 15 years! My husband & I would NOT go anywhere else, and we drive from Weeki Wachee. They always treat me with respect, care and concern. When no I am sick they see me right away, these negative reviews are shocking as I have been pleased with the care!!!

He has the bedside manners of a cold fish. Horrible demeanor and belittles his patients. I will not be mistreated by him or any of his partner's ever again.

Dr. Carson 's lack of compassion towards all of the patients at his care center is very evident. I made a legitimate complaint regarding a wrong diagnosis made by his NP. I was given wrong medication and was in pain for 2 weeks. Went back to Dr. Roose and felt she had a big problem with honesty regarding necessary medication. I followed office policy and complained to the office manager. After a month Dr. Carson fired me from his practice with 25 days notice. I have 2 scheduled appts. :(
