Polite Gaslighting
Dr. Thomas Chelimsky is the only 'POTS' specialist, who does not believe it is real. He, and his team, say that only one type of Dysautonomia is real. They push that Dysautonomia is functional and 'all in your head', that small fiber neuropathy is not real even though there are SCIENTIFIC tests that prove this, along with other tests for different forms of Dysautonomia.I can not warn fellow spoonies away from them enough. They also try to silence their ex-patients with threats of lawsuits for 'slander'.He seems to be very understanding and appears to listen, only to trick you into believing it's all in your head and solely based from childhood trauma.Polite gaslighting

no health CARE
He’s only interested in writing about you in his medical journals. When it comes to your medical Care and follow up, forget about he as he’s forgotten about you. He’s also not taking “new” patients. Not even his own.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Chelimsky?
Dr. Chelimsky misdiagnosed me for a significant amount of time, and continued to dismiss me even after I had a concerning muscle biopsy. Had I not seen Dr. Chelimsky, I could have been receiving proper care for my progressive neuromuscular disease far earlier. I am now properly diagnosed and seen at a Muscular Dystrophy Association Center of Excellence, and I am thankful to finally have providers that truly care about me and treat me with respect and dignity.

I’ve seen Dr.Chelimsky twice and will not go back my interactions with him have been very uncomfortable and bizarre at one point he asked me if I’ve ever spoken to Jesus and I was dumbfounded that he even mentioned religion. As a doctor it’s not his place or business to talk about my beliefs. Also he didn’t offer me much help with my chronic illness so I will just continue to see my pcp for it.
