Office in disarray
Tough office to deal with. Getting through on the phone is often impossible as the phone rings and rings until someone in the Philippians answers. Messages are never returned. I tried talking to the doctor about this, but he blew it all off, taking no responsibility. I like Dr. Ence, but dealing with all their issues is not worth the trouble. Believe me, he is not worth the trouble--and they don't care.

Horrible man, horrendous bedside manner. I squarely blame him and the PT staff at Tarzana hospital for the way my mom suffered at the end of her life. In truth most of the nursing staff at Tarzana Hospital treats visitors as if they don’t belong there, but Dr. Ence was especially egregious in how he treated both my mom and me. I even overheard him speaking unkindly about me right outside of my mom’s room in ICU. His treatment protocol caused her to go into a coma and pass away less than 12 hours later. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this horrible excuse for a doctor.

The WORST EVER!
I went to Dr. Ence based on the referral of my primary care physician to have a sleep study done. The assumption is that I very much have sleep apnea. Dr. Ence ordered a test to be done STAT. The test was completed a week later. I have called Dr. Ence's office for over 2.5 months straight to get the results. They have a call center in the Philippines taking their calls. The person is just an answering service. You have to get past the call center to get to the office. The office rarely answers their phones and does not return messages. When I got them on the phone, they said they told me Dr. Ence couldn't read the sleep study results and that Dr. Yadigar had to read them. This nonsense went on for over 2.5 months when I finally demanded they read them as it was patient neglect. They then scheduled for Dr. Ence to call me with the results, and to no surprise, he never called on the scheduled day or time. DO NOT GO TO DR ENCE UNDER ANY CONDITIONS!

Dr. ENCE saved my life on many occasions. He is one of the most down to earth, amazing and knowledgeable Doctors I have ever seen. I wouldn't be here at age 57 without his care. I owe Dr. ENCE more than I could ever give.

I accidently missed my 1st appointment because of homeschooling my 3 children, working my job, and I overslept, so they refused to make another appointment and informed me to find a new pulmonologist. Thank you Dr. Ence for being human and understanding.

Dr Ence is the most through Pulminologist I have ever witnessed. Very caring, leaves no problem unsolved. Goes above and beyond to take care of his patients. Makes sure the patient and the patients family is all involved and aware of all issues. You will find no better Pulminologist in the LA area.

My mother went to see Dr Ence because she's had breathing problem since her 30's! She's 84 now and can barely breathe? Dr Ence's diagnosis? She's a "COUCH POTATO!" How's that for a nice doctor? Not true. She wasn't a couch potato in her 30's Dr Ence. You should not have said that to her and that is not a good diagnosis.
