Dismissing rude
He’s a rude and dismissing person. I’ll never go back to see him again. Something about his disposition makes you feel disrespected and put off , two times is enough ! However my wife likes Dr Shwrartz.

Dr. O'Connor was my original ophthalmologist. When I had an emergency, I saw the first available doctor at the practice where he works (for possible retinal detachment) When Doctor O'Connor found that I went to another doctor in the practice he was aggressive with me as to why which left me totally uncomfortable. He dismissed my concerns through multiple visits which I kept telling him something was wrong and I was having great difficulty seeing properly, especially making out numbers on my computer. After a year of multiple visits, he finally determined that I had a macular fold. I am sure that if he diagnosed it earlier, my long term prognosis would have been better. I cannot stress how dismissive he is. I should have listened to my gut and changed doctors immediately.

There is a reason he is accepting new patients!
This doctor likely can't keep patients. That's why he has openings! BEWARE This man may be a doctor, but he is not a nice guy. When dealing with older people, he has no patience, no tact and is just plain nasty. Surprising since most of his cataract patients are old! I recently took my father to see an ophthalmologist after a stroke that resulted in vision loss and Dr. O'Connor was who we were assigned to. We did not at that time know this man's reputation and wish we read reviews about him first. My father left the office visibly shaken and stated that he didn't like this "guy" referring to Dr. O'Connor. I confirmed to my dad that I also didn't appreciate his lack of professionalism and that we would not be coming back. There are plenty of other Ophthalmologists out there!!!!! Save your money and go see someone else.

CRAZY DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mother saw this doctor for cataract issues and the appointment was quite unnerving. Merely asking questions set this man off to where he put his face 1" from my mom's face and belittled her in an angry voice. He seems unstable and particularly to women. He should tax a break from his practice and go seek help. The staff on the other hand are kind and helpful.

Barely speaks to me. He removed both cataracts and did a good job. Communication around the surgeries was very poor, however.
